America Under Judgment: 9/11 Attacks mirror of Isaiah 9:10

This transcript of the videtorial is based on a December 30, 2011 editorial by Joseph Farah, founder and publisher of WND.com.

Joseph Farah contends that the 9/11 attacks were a mirror of Isaiah 9:10, an obscure Bible verse that seems to be speaking to America today as it spoke to ancient Israel -- shortly before the nation was judged, invaded and dispersed.

The story begins about 3,000 years ago. Solomon builds the Temple and dedicates it in a ceremony that lasts days. Then in I Kings 9, the Lord tells Solomon:

"And if thou wilt walk before me, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom forever. But if ye shall turn from following me, then will I cut off Israel out of the land; and this house will I cast out of my sight."

The children of Israel began to serve other gods. Even Solomon turns to spiritual adultery -- leading to the divided kingdom in one generation. But this was a warning. Did it work?

The key verse is Isaiah 9:10. "The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars."

Instead of turning to God in repentance after an attack from the Syrians, the people are proudly and arrogantly expressing their faith in THEMSELVES. This proud spirit of defiance leads to God removing His hedge of protection. But what does this have to do with 9/11?

George Washington's proclamations, during his inaugural address in 1789, bear a striking resemblance to what Solomon said at the dedication of the Temple -- that God would bless the nation if it remained obedient; otherwise, He would judge it.

The speech took place in New York, America's first capital. George Washington led the Senate and the House of Representatives through the streets to the place appointed for prayer at St. Paul's Chapel.

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn suggests judgment came to America on September 11, 2001, at the precise location of the nation's spiritual dedication.

The day after 9/11, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle uttered the spiritually arrogant words of the children of Israel as words of comfort. Senator John Edwards did much the same on the third anniversary of the attack.

Studying the Isaiah 9:10 effect, has changed my entire perception of the future of America. It is a wake up call that the entire nation needs to hear.

Yeah, and George W. Bush and Dick Cheney set the explosives in the twin towers and the virgin Mary appears in toasted cheese sandwiches.

The sycamore tree that was in front of that location was also destroyed.

There are a lot of arrogant people who call themselves conservatives who trust in their own greatness as well. I read their laughable posts on FR everyday. Some appear above.
