Bachmann’s Iowa Chairman Switches to Ron Paul

By now you probably already know that Michele Bachmann’s Iowa campaign chair, Kent Sorenson, suddenly turned round and endorsed Ron Paul last night. And I have to tell you, I’m disgusted.

I know Kent Sorenson. We have each other’s private phone numbers and I also have to tell you that I texted him last night and for the first time ever, he has not returned my text. I have left him voicemail — no return call.

...

Did he originally back Bachmann because he thought she could win? What does this say about him?

...

The campaigns in question don’t matter. He could have gone from Perry to Romney and I would be saying the same thing.

Thus is the nature of political campaigns.

I never blamed Newt for problems with his campaign staff. Remember, people jumped on that ?

It's a non-issue, and, therefore, something that political hacks working against a campaign will latch on to and try to make something of.

If the campaign is truly down and out, it's entirely reasonable that staff would leave. And it doesn't matter, because it's game over.

If the campaign is not down and out, it's largely irrelevant. No one expects 100% loyalty from the people who work on these campaigns. Political people are opportunists looking for glory, wanting to be on the winning team. And they all think they know it all, that they're some political "genius".

Word to the wise, forget what hacks come and go, forget the campaign machinery; look at the candidate, without regard for their "chances of winning". Look at the candidate and be honest with yourself - are they for big capital ? Big government ? Big business ? Big pharma ? Big farms ? Big banks ? Big anything ? If they are, they'll infringe on your God-given rights in a heartbeat if it works to their political advantage.

I love Bachmann and think she would make a fantastic President just like all of them but Romney and Ron Paul. However, it really upsets me that these guys disrespected her that much to go to Ron paul. I mean had they gone to Santorum, Newt, Perry, even Huntsman, it would have at least been somewhat “normal”. But to go to a person who hates Israel so much and leave Michele who supports Israel perhaps more than every other candidate is disgusting.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This speaks more about Bachmann than it does this nobody Sorenson.
Remember a few months ago when her national campaign director defected on her? What was his name? Who cares. It doesn’t matter.
If she can’t keep from picking losers like these butt nuggets, then she doesn’t deserve to win.
'Everyone sells out in Iowa, why shouldn't I?'- Kent Sorenson.
Sounds like he was after the $ versus going to someone he agreed with.
So the same would be true of Newt then, since back in June he had senior campaign staff resigning.
So “if Newt can’t keep from picking losers like these butt nuggets, then Newt doesn’t deserve to win.”
definately a dirt bag...but you all know that that great big bowl of consequences will have to be eaten...
the Ronnie Paul people took over the pub county seats in 2008 and they refused to fund any campaign materials for Palin.....not even for Palin, despite that albatross around her neck....
that shows you how insane the ron paul people are....
At 4PM Central... go here: http://www.whoradio.com/cc-common/listenlive/ — and listen to this article’s author and his show, where it is said that Kent Sorenson will be on... as well as Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum...
He's proven that he is just a political whore.
A physical whore sells his/her body for sex for money, a political whore sells his/her body-mind-position for money...any difference other than the deliverable?
Looks a lot like a description of a lawyer.
Question! Where does the Paul organization get the money to buy such persons including all the street workers? My guess is that considering his hatred for Jews/Israel and coziness with Muslims he is getting Muslim money, possibly even from Saudi Arabia.
Nobody could possibly be involved in a campaign out of conviction or principles. They have to be getting paid.
I’d be afraid of him taking secrets to the other side. Was he a plant from the beginning? Didn’t she have money problems recently and wasn’t paying her staff? Looks like someone waved a pile of money under his nose. If he did this to her, he’ll do it to Paul.
Don’t berate the man just because he wants to promote the election of a crazy old white guy for president. Maybe Ron Paul reminds him of his grandfather.
This is not logical.
Bachmann and Paul are not of the same ilk.
What kind of person leaves Bachmann for PAUL?
Kent left. NO money exchanged hands. Michele was lying about her conversation with Kent. Her own campaign manager Wes Enos defended Kent for leaving.
That’s a man with a frown, a stressed-out face and some shifty eyes that never left his face during that interview.
His reason for leaving was that he wanted to be with a winning campaign; he joined the Paul campaign - according to his words - because he thought Paul could beat Romney in Iowa.
If I was a politician anywhere in America, and I ever came across this squirrely dude in my career, I’d know that he could not be relied on, period. So he’d be pretty much useless to a politician, since he’s an opportunist.
Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann have principles that are quite different from each other.
