I don't follow your train of thought. You say the media wants Romney, and as such, must trash Gingrich as the current most credible threat to Romney. And they chose to trash Gingrich using evidence that he agrees with Romney's health care position. Wouldn't that raise Romney's health care position to the "gold standard" of misplaced trust in government health care? By trashing an agreement with this gold standard, doesn't the media also trash the standard bearer Romney? Seems to me the statement being made is that "Gingrich views health care comparably to Romney". I don't think the media is trashing the candidates. I think the media is trying to make the case that (purported) conservatives are in support of socialized health care (the abomination we detest). While we bicker over individual candidates in this very short battle, they are going to win the war by having set the stage showing republicans (and therefore conservatives) were historically complicit in -- and even advocates for -- the advancement of socialist medicine. Pull back and look at the big picture, FRiends, before we are duped again.

you’re accusing the media of using logic?

You are 100% correct about Romney, but you have not carried out the thought to completion- that is the exact reason they WANT Romney- but they want to wait until he is the nominee before using it
