I suspect he will. however, he still won’t pull enough support to win.

Prominently featuring fellow GOP contenders Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum; the ad reminds voters that federal legislators are responsible for the earmarks and deficit spending that have led to our unsustainable national debt and that the nation needs a leader who will provide real solutions.

I agree with the point overall, but didn't Bachmann vote against raising the debt ceiling?

I think Perry is one who speaks of compassion vis-a-vis ILLEGAL aliens.. close the border but in the mean time compassion!

If compassion is forgiving ILLEGAL aliens of their past crimes.. possibly requiring a small fine as "punishment" then

What the hell do you call keeping American citizens in prison for the same crimes?!

Not difficult to exceed expectations when they're so damn low.

"Robert Ritchie" Perry has done everything but say, "Crime, boy....I don't know."

For the next week we are going to be repeatedly bombarded with articles about how this or that politician is either going to rally from behind and win Iowa or will, at the very least, greatly exceed expectations and therefore should be the nominee. Most of these missives will come from partisans for that particular hopeful. Hoping against hope that their guy may squeak through simply because the writer really, really, really, really wants them to.

But most will be wrong. Even those that wind up being right will be the result of pure, dumb luck. The reality is, at this time, nobody really knows.

What’s the tally on “Perry may surprise us in Iowa” stories? I lost count long ago.
