Guilty until proven innocent. This is the un-American standard set for Republican candidates when attacked by the liberal media. Those who want to destroy Herman Cain's candidacy have given no consideration to the FACT that not one of the thousands of women Cain had contact with over his 40-year career has ever filed an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint for the record, an action that would have resulted in Cain being fired, if the allegations were proven true. Why was no such complaint ever filed, if Cain was, indeed, a serial sexual harasser and created a hostile work environment, as is being alleged? The answer is simple. Herman Cain has never sexually harassed any one.

Those who are relentlessly attacking Cain are ignoring the exculpatory statements made by National Restaurant Association (NRA) officials who spoke on the record, saying that Cain never harassed women. Those quotes are buried in the last paragraph of the original Politico story:

Ron Magruder, Denise Marie Fugo and Joseph Fassler, the chair, vice chair and immediate past chairman of the National Restaurant Association board of directors at the time of Cain's departure, said they hadn't heard about any complaints regarding Cain making unwanted advances.

"I have never heard that. It would be news to me," said Fugo, who runs a Cleveland, Ohio, catering company, adding such behavior would be totally out of character for the Cain she knew. "He's very gracious."

Fassler, who helped bring Cain on board as CEO of the restaurant association, said that any inappropriate behavior was not brought to his attention and that he would be upset to learn it had gone on and he was not made aware of it.

It’s not as small as you might think.

Despite polling, he has not lost significant support. His volunteer and supporters are pretty much holding steady. He just added another 100 precinct captains in Iowa this week. Fundraising is down some, but is still steady.

A lot of the people who are being negative are already supporting other people. Some of those who say he has lost their vote, never had it, or at least I sure didn’t know them as supporters and I’ve had the ping list for nearly 2 years.

Every decent citizen in the USA ought to demand proof that Mr. Cain is guilty or demand that the accusers sit down and shut up. I’m SICK of this cruel game. Prove it or prepare to be charged with libel and deliberately trying to unlawfully influence an election.

Yet all we hear in ANY media, including conservative talk radio, is an endless repetition of allegations. I'm sick of it. How about some PROOF instead of the endless smear ?!

I won’t let the media-DNC machine-liars who do their dirty work,,,shake my confidence in Herman Cain, just like the 3 (and continuing) years they attacked Palin didn’t change my opinion of her.
In fact, the more obvious lies that are told, the stronger my conviction that my candidates (Palin was first) are in fact scaring the heck out of the DNC, repub elites, the media and all enemies of Freedom.Glad there are still 2 of us who think for ourselves and know character assassination when we see it.

I’m stunned that the other Republican candidates have not lifted their fingers to help Mr. Cain.

The sad truth is that every candidate could be out there verbally supporting Cain in an emphatic manner, and the media would NEVER REPORT IT because it doesn't keep the spin going. And as you said, the MEDIA wants to cut Cain out of the herd. So it would not accomplish that goal if all the other GOP candidates defended and supported Cain.

If it's not inflammatory, they won't report it.

Then came the telling moment when Ms. White brazenly stated that she does not share Cain's political "views." It does not take a rocket scientist to discern that Ms. White, a black woman, is a Democrat. Without a doubt, if Ms. White had been a Republican woman making such an outlandish charge against a Democrat politician, her allegation would not have seen the light of day.

It seems to me there is quite a consortium of socialists, communists and their fellow travelers who are threatened by a candidate like Cain and the Tea Party as well. They are on both sides of the aisle and definitely have infiltrated and control the media.
