HERMAN CAIN – THE CITIZENS' CANDIDATE National Black Republican Association
BLACK REPUBLICAN: National Black Republican Association E-News ^ | 120111 | Frances Rice

Posted on 12/01/2011 4:15:20 PM PST by Fred

Guilty until proven innocent. This is the un-American standard set for Republican candidates when attacked by the liberal media. Those who want to destroy Herman Cain's candidacy have given no consideration to the FACT that not one of the thousands of women Cain had contact with over his 40-year career has ever filed an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint for the record, an action that would have resulted in Cain being fired, if the allegations were proven true. Why was no such complaint ever filed, if Cain was, indeed, a serial sexual harasser and created a hostile work environment, as is being alleged? The answer is simple. Herman Cain has never sexually harassed any one.

Those who are relentlessly attacking Cain are ignoring the exculpatory statements made by National Restaurant Association (NRA) officials who spoke on the record, saying that Cain never harassed women. Those quotes are buried in the last paragraph of the original Politico story:

Ron Magruder, Denise Marie Fugo and Joseph Fassler, the chair, vice chair and immediate past chairman of the National Restaurant Association board of directors at the time of Cain's departure, said they hadn't heard about any complaints regarding Cain making unwanted advances.

"I have never heard that. It would be news to me," said Fugo, who runs a Cleveland, Ohio, catering company, adding such behavior would be totally out of character for the Cain she knew. "He's very gracious."

Fassler, who helped bring Cain on board as CEO of the restaurant association, said that any inappropriate behavior was not brought to his attention and that he would be upset to learn it had gone on and he was not made aware of it.

Every decent citizen in the USA ought to demand proof that Mr. Cain is guilty or demand that the accusers sit down and shut up. I’m SICK of this cruel game. Prove it or prepare to be charged with libel and deliberately trying to unlawfully influence an election.

Herman is still my candidate, because I am not a lamb that is going to be lead to my slaughter.

Seems like I’m in a really small group though.

I will believe in Mr. Herman Cain until he is proven GUILTY. Hearsay and records that can’t be found etc...is NOT evidence. Keep going Mr. Cain. I am praying for you and hoping you keep surging ahead. I believe in you and for that I am proud. However, if you let me and all of us down...then that is in YOUR corner and you will have to live with it. However, I believe in your innocence and know people especially the opposition is scared to death of you. Keep going and have faith. I do!

I am in your group, too. I am praying that he will continue his campaign. If he does, I will be proud to vote for him in my state’s primary.

If he drops put, I will be very disappointed, but will hold my nose and vote for whoever looks best for defeating the pres-ent.

I feel for whoever gets the vote next November, for he will truly inherit a nasty mess.

I’m stunned that the other Republican candidates have not lifted their fingers to help Mr. Cain. He’s been cut out of the herd and set up for the kill. I guess the other candidates figure that as long as the wolves are circling Herman, they’re safe. After the predators digest Herman, they’ll be hungry for blood again, and the rest of the cowering candidates will be in for the same treatment.

“There’s more of us than you know.”

You said it. Plus, I’ve been doing a little historical reading/research. I can’t find specific graphs, but I found an article that discussed the likelihood of the winner of the IA caucuses going on to win the nomination. It mentioned a lot of ultimate winners who lost IA—including Reagan. The bottom line is, being ahead now means very little. Anything can happen once actual votes start being counted. We may have some very pleasant surprises awaiting us in ‘12.

I’m with him too.

it is clear that these womaen had terrible financial and other difficulties, they have made life choices that render their credibility to almoost zero...and not one of them has any compelling or verifiable proof of what they say.

They all have everything to gain by getting in the lime light, getting deals that will make them money to “tell all,” though, like any sensationalism in the nasty rumor mill magazines is all lies and inuendo.

Now, I have to say I was disappointed that Cain said today that his wife was not aware of this relationship he had where he was helping this woman. For 13 years he helped her financially...probably small amounts...and his wife was not aware of it.

now, for Cain $100 or $500 is like you or me spending a qurter. I do not tell my wife about every quarter I spend.

But, if for 13 years I felt obliged to give another woman even a quarter...I would at some point mention it to my wife.

I believe the Cain’s relationship is solid and that she trusts him and he her. She probably gives to charities witout asking him first...but I believe if she was giving hundreds of dollars to help out another man, she would tell him.

He used poor judgement, IMHO, in not telling her...but I definitely do not believe there was anymore to it than that. The recordws have come out now and of the 61 text messages, 44 were from her to him at all hours, and his 17 were in response each time to one of hers.

She was in essence badgering the man and he helped her with apparently small amounts of money.

Anyhow, I am still supporting Herman and pray that a huge surprise is in the offing in IOowa for January.

I’m with you...in fact 99.9% of our local Tea Party is with you.

We just had a thousand “Beat Obama With A CAIN” bumper stickers printed for our members.

If this is written by Col. Frances Rice, then Herman’s got some great people supporting him. She is one of my heroes.
Col. Frances Rice wrote an Open Letter to the Democrats, calling them out for all of their bigotry over the decades. She’s wonderful. She’s also black.
(But, I don’t understand why the links don’t work..maybe liberals don’t WANT the links to work.)

Cain is a good man. His best friends, like Hannity who knows him well, still believe in him, and I do too.

Rush has been all over the ballpark on who is out to ruin his candidacy. At first it was Obama and the dems, and now it’s one or more of the republican candidates.

I honestly don’t think any of our candidates took Cain that seriously. But the media has, and that’s who is the despicable culprit here. Probably some dem groups too with the media carrying the water as usual.

A Black conservative destroys their template. If Cain succeeds he would provide an enormous role model for a good portion of the Black community, and that would put a dagger in the media’s socialist utopia and the democrat voting base.

It makes me seethe that the vile media ( blind to Clinton’s and Edwards’ dalliances ) would ruin this man with nothing but allegations.

Where are Allred and these women after they have been paid off by the press ?

I believe Herman is a good man...an innocent man.

Politics is a dirty business. It needs men like Herman Cain.

But he must counter-attack with a vengeance...he must return fire! The rumors and innuendo are enough to finish a lesser man.

Come on Herman...rise up to this challenge. It isn't personal...they are only trying to destroy you because you are threatening them.

Rise up!

For over a day people here were spreading the lie that it was a fact that Cain sent 61 texts himself. Obviously not the truth.

Big whoop he helped someone out. Not my business nor should be anyone else’s.

Also don’t care about his communication with his wife. Not my business. It appears long before this story that in general they have the kind of relationship where he is always traveling and doing business and she is home or doing her thing. Again that’s their deal.

Only relevant thing is this charge was publicly made of a sexual affair and he has steadfastly publicly denied it. It seems he is telling the truth.

So I’m supposed to hate on this man and disqualify him when he has had to suffer lie after lie?
