Instead of helping an elderly man who collapsed to the floor in a West Virginia Target Store on Black Friday morning, Christmas shoppers merely stepped over him in their haste to get at bargain merchandise.
MSNBC is reporting that Walter Vance, a 61 year-old pharmacist with a prior heart condition was shopping with his wife at a Target store at 12:15 a.m. on Black Friday in South Charleston when he got sick and collapsed to the floor. Witnesses said some shoppers ignored him and even stepped over his body in their haste to get at sale merchandise.
Where is the good Samaritan side of people? said Sue Compton, one of Vances co-workers, to WSAZ-TV. How could you not notice someone was in trouble? I just dont understand if people didnt help what their reason was, other than greed because of a sale.

It truly is unbelievable the levels we have stooped to as a society. The materialism that consumes us has become our "god" in this neo-pagan culture we now live in. Very sad. Prayers for our country.....
I’m not by any means a religious person, but the only word that adequately describes the attitude of those people is ‘godless’...
Crappola.
38 years ago I went from Seoul to Incheon Harbour in mid winter to take photos of boats there.
I took a train from Seoul and a Kimchee bus to the harbour.
As I walked a dirt road to the harbour there was a guy i thought was sleeping on the side of the road.
I went and took my pictures and several hours later I passed
by on the same road and the same guy was sleping along the road.
I thought, Man this guy must really have tied one on last night.
Half way back to Seoul I was hit with a brick.
This guy was sleping off a drunken bing, he was dead and 14,500 people traversed that road each day and didn’t give a damn.
Welcome to the third world pal.
Our “masters” tell us not to get involved in anything and let the so-called “authorities” handle things. Reaping what we’ve sown?
A sad commentary on our marketing programed culture. Cheap crap is > a human being
I just read what’s excerpted here but I have one question, where was the wife? Wasn’t he shopping with her?
JB
911 had been called quickly and someone from the store was with him.
What would you expect people to do if they have no medical training?
Especially in the litigious society we now have?
