Incumbent Senator and former Governor Ben Nelson has fallen behind in new polling in Nebraska. The Democrat reportedly has been considering retirement, which should not be surprising at all, considering the data. Nelson has been polling poorly for a while, now. It may be at the point that Nelson's campaign would not even be able to get off of the ground.
Nelson was polled against three candidates, including Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning. In two of the matchups, Nelson either led slightly or had a 6% lead.
However, against Bruning, Nelson has quite the deficit. Considering that Bruning would have time to shape the race and his opponent, things are not looking good for Nelson.

If we see Nelson of Nebraska, Nelson of Florida, and Brown of Ohio go down to defeat, we’ll know we are a real course of change in this country as inspired in 2009 and 2010 by the tea party.
Personally, I think that Brown is the worst of the bunch.
Cornhusker Kickback!
There is no candidate in this race. Ive not announced for re-election. - Sherrod Brown
He is going to have a tough time getting reelected. Josh Mandel is going to be a strong competitor. He is garnering a lot of money and is high profile. I had not heard that Brown may not even run!
It seems that the blitz of commercials by bad hair ben has ceased in the last week; or maybe I’m just effectively ignoring them. I think he knows he’s toast and is just waiting for the state party to try to find a suitable substitute liar/cheat to take his place.
He will become the new poster child for “Government Run Health Care is a Political Death Wish”
Ben gave us ObamaCare. How could it get worse? Thank you, Nebraskans. This scumbag has to go.
Hey Ben,
Looks like the folks in Nebraska remember the Cornhusker Kickback and a whole lot more. Our country is in a death spiral because of DC Hacks like you.
70 GOP in the Senate.
CRUSH’EM !!

Democrat Dominoes will fall.
Brown is definitely the worst. Most liberal of the three and very out of step with Ohio. All three voted for obamacare and will go right back to 100% party votes if relected.
