All the stupid republicans have to do is point to the imminent collapse of Europe and make it clear to the American people that obama is advocating the same policies for us. Republicans do a very poor job of making their case.

One Democrat Super-Committee aide, speaking on condition of anonymity because he could, said that this proves to voters that Democrats can put together a plan and stick to it.
"We knew from the start what we wanted the Super-Committee to accomplish, and we accomplished it," said the aide. "Democrats will bring that focus to all the other problems in America, too, if voters send us back to Washington in 2012."

All we Democrats have to do now is sit on our hands and the governments take goes up. Its Republicans who are screwed. They get tarred as the do-nothings and we get the cash. John, it's good to see that the microphone you installed at the bar of the Mayflower Hotel hasn't been discovered yet.

I have worked long and hard to see that this reform of our nations health care system is implemented, I am not going to sit aside as it is imperiled by the presidents enemies, Kagan announced. As one of the nine most powerful people in America, I would be wasting an opportunity to promote the transformation of the country toward a new paradigm of social justice if I were to neglect to exercise my power when it is most needed. The satirical equivalent of a Freudian slip.
Another funny/scary/more-truth-than-fiction column!

Kagan emphasized that Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life in order to ensure their independence from outside interference.of course, that was WHY they had "the precious independence" to begin with to insure the Constitutionality guidelines were followed.
