One Democrat Super-Committee aide, speaking on condition of anonymity because he could, said that this proves to voters that Democrats can put together a plan and stick to it.

"We knew from the start what we wanted the Super-Committee to accomplish, and we accomplished it," said the aide. "Democrats will bring that focus to all the other problems in America, too, if voters send us back to Washington in 2012."
