One of the biggest topics of discussions coming out of the CNN/Heritage debate is the few minutes through which Newt Gingrich clarified his stance on those here illegally for longer than those who recently broke the law. The discussion was one of the lengthier topics and pitted Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich at strong odds on the issue.
The portion of the discussion Gingrich is taking heat for is the point when he openly advocates for amnesty for those in the country illegally for 25 years or longer. He then makes a statement claiming those who came here legally are law abiding residents, which is impossible considering those here illegally broke the law to get here.

Ah' think it's a great idea, amnesty for law-abiding illegals. Shucks, we need amnesty for honest perjurers, too. Ah shore coulda used that when they took away mah law license...
He also said no path to citizenship. He would only leave those who have put down roots payed taxes and had jobs.
Hope your not on the Cain train, ‘cuz the next stop is Amnestyville. His platform is pretty much the same as Newt’s, so quit yer bellyachin’ if you’re a Newt bashing Cain supporter.
Get used to it.

So you NewtBots keep saying tonight in your desperate attempt to deflect attention, but that doesn't make it true. CAIN was the only candidate on stage to stand with Arizona and Alabama's enforcement laws, and offer a detailed plan for securing the border and upping workplace restrictions. Your boy did not mention AZ-style laws or E-Verify, but rather the Nutty Professor droned on about some "Foundation's" plan for amnesty. No sale, as you will see in his poll numbers very soon.
Anyone here trust Newt? If so, you’ve learned nothing. Wanna buy a bridge?
Before it’s over, they’re all going to need SS protection at Republican rallies.
There’s going to be a 3rd Party and it is going to be the Republican Party.
The TEA Party should go ahead and give up on this charade and pick its own nominee BEFORE New Hampshire and start getting him/her on the general ballots in the 50 states.
Foundations - a result of loopholes inserted in the Death Tax as a way to pass on the political influence of the super rich - no matter who sets them up all turn lib eventually.
Only someone who supported Obamacare would vote for Newt Gingrich and they are a liberal. Newt is a liberal.
What’s next, amnesty for law abiding rapists? Law abiding bank robbers? Well actually they do get amnesty after the statute of limitation expires before they get caught.
Since when are illegal aliens “law abiding citizens”? Citizens? Oh really? I guess that is so when Newt says so.
I just wrote the nastiest email of my life to Newt. I’ll never open my mind to him again. I was a virgin at marriage, now married 36 years w/4 kids and 4 grandkids. My tagline expresses my feeling for those who follow their loins first. Newt proves that his soul is corrupted to the truth, and UNworthy to ever lead.
We’ve been here since the early 1700’s, fought during the Revolutionary war, as all the others since. F these fatasses.
Anyone thinking illegal aliens are acceptable in our country, go read the current thread on FR about 30 fires being started in the past 5 years or so by illegal alients in Arizona. A new report came out stating this. All illegal aliens do is cost us money, bring in diseases from Mexico, clog our jail cells, and take jobs from our citizens. Newt, a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Didn’t Reagan support amnesty?
Newt is going to take the Perry plunge down in the polls.
Millions of illegals are doing jobs that desperate Americans who have lost their jobs, would do to save their house, car and the American way of life.
What about a Dream Act for them Newt?
Why are you protecting jobs illegals do, that desperate legal Americans would do, Newt?
Foundations ~ enough bucks to pay off the ............. well, probably a part of the current annual expenditures ~ probably not the debt!
Alabama’s unemployment rate dropped a half-point after they enacted their immigration law. It’s heartless to coddle illegals and those who hire them on the cheap when millions of Americans need a job.
