No, I don't know it. And you don't, either. You apparently believe it. That's unmistakable. But you and moonman have been far, FAR more invested in decrying, pooh-poohing, and mischaracterizing history than anyone who is hopeful about LENR in general and the E-cat in particular. Your MO appears to be to say that people who are hopeful about LENR in the Rossi context are willfully ignorant or deliberately deceptive.

The insufficiently answered question in these threads isn't why there are a lot of people who hope the phenomenon and the particular application are real but what motivates those who believe the opposite.

That you just happen to be so gosh-darn interested in science and truth doesn't ring true for a few reasons: 1. nearly all criticism is ad hoc and ad hominem, 2. you say things are unscientific, but you don't demonstrate it, 3. when countered, you repeat 1 and 2.

Got no problem at all with "legitimate, critical scientific discussion". But I "do" have a problem with someone who wants to REQUIRE me to re-calculate, re-format, and re-peat the information before he/she will "deign" to bless it with the caress of his/her baby blues. I'm neither his/her (nor your) student or employee.

You should actually TRY posting some "legitimate, critical, scientific discussion".....you might be surprised at the response.

But continuously repeating "it's a scam", "Rossi is a crook", "Rossi has a fake degree" is NOT "legitimate, critical SCIENTIFIC discussion".
