Lol, yes, it’s become a friend:) That’s a long, long time. I heard there’s a light bulb that’s been on somewhere for almost 100 years. You must have it’s cousin in your lamp.

Speaking of obnoxious, what about someone who posts here in order to tell the rest of us that we need to elect more conservative political candidates? You are the proverbial lone voice in the wilderness. Do you have a newsletter? How can I subscribe?

Keep on running against Bush, you can’t lose.

That bears repeating. It's as if, after running out of gas, some bozo appears to suggest that you fill your tank.

“You are the proverbial lone voice in the wilderness.”

I sure was when Dubya was in office and enacting Medicare Part D, Campaign Finance Reform, Steel Tariffs, No Child Left Behind, the TSA, TARP...

Missed the point, again. You are very good at it. Tell me, what can we do in order to remove Bush from office?

I’d prefer history not be forgotten and thus repeat itself. No more big government GOP scum in the White House. Hence no countenancing a whitewashing of Dubya’s legacy as much as you and the other Daily Dose addicts would prefer to look the other way.

Got it. My choices were, Bush or Gore, and Bush or Kerry. You have parachuted here to remind me that I had another choice. ROTFLMAO

You did and you do. They're called primaries. And you can also do the unthinkable - demand small government actions WHILE THE REPUBLICAN IS IN OFFICE! Shocking I know but it can and does work. See the mass conservative backlash from the absurdly unqualified Harriet Miers Supreme Court nomination. Dubya backed down - we got Alito.

There will actually still be incandescent 100-watt bulbs after the ban goes into effect. At least one manufacturer seems to know how to meet the specifications of the law (they didn’t “ban” the bulbs, just set limits on how much power they can use while created the same amount of light).

I use incandescents for heating and lighting at the same time.

My heat is turned down right now but I have a 100 watt light pointed at my middle and it keeps me warm in front of my computer. You don't need a personal heater. All you need is a normal light bulb or two pointed at you and you stay warm (also dressed warm) at your computer.

I get 1000 lumens LEDs at this site. They aren't cheap though.
