John McQueary is a physician’s assistant, a certified healthcare professional. He is Chief Operating Officer/Administrative Director at Centre Medical and Surgical Associates, P.C. in State College, Pennsylvania.

I can’t think of any explanation why a man with an extensive background in the medical field, would not advise his son to immediately call law enforcement and protective services.

“Dr” John McQueary would know more than an average person exactly what kind of physical and emotional damage a 10 yo boy would experience.

I think all states require healthcare professionals to report abuse or suspected abuse of their patients. I don’t know if they are required to report non-patients. If not, they should be.

I’m steaming about the fact that Mike McQueary went to his father for advice at all when he should have simply dialed 911. I’m especially steaming b/c he went to his physician assistant father, and they still did not do the right thing.

There are plenty of locals who know that JohnMcQ is a P.A.—including media types. So why isn’t anyone asking why a medical professional did nothing?
