I've been following the events at Penn State as they unfold, and like everyone, am horrified at what I've read. But there are two things that have bothered me about this story, that I'm having trouble understanding, keeping in context, and may well provide a viable alternative explanation of what happened.
Well; share your thoughts here; but am desperately hoping for a 'penduluum effect; rather than a more damning 'slippery slope'.
Agree too per MJ. He was a 'walking suicide' and so even a murder verdict is questionable; IMHO.

But thats why I love this site - its a great place for ferreting out information and generating informed opinions. Though it does get bumpy sometimes.

Penn State is in the unincorporated area called University Park, not in State College. The University Park police force is just about the same size as the police force in State College. Although Penn State somewhat dominates the State College area, it isn't by any means the only thing there. Not sure all of the tax payers of State College would be keen to double their police budget just to make sure that college students are kept in line.

See, it's stuff like this that I try not to respond to. Since when am I tolerating anything intolerable? Are you accusing me of tolerating Sandusky and Spanier, Schultz, and Curley?
