I'm hoping Newt distances himself from this sewage. I sent off a nasty-gram in response. The email was sent from here: info@nationalteapartyalert.com

Return fire at will...

If Gingrich was leading in the polls, the attacks would make the Cain assault look like an endorsement.

Sniping your own will not get you votes in the GOP. GOP voters really do not like candidates who fire on their own.

Newt is doing well because he has specifically avoided that and kept the fire at the real targets.

This is a mistake, if it really came from the Newt camp and not some third party.

I agree & hope Newt is our candidate. My 2nd choice is Santorum - 3rd is Cain. I like Cain for a cabinet position.

Don’t worry...the clock is always ticking for Newt’s next act of self-immolation. The smart amongst us realize this, and hope he will someday make a great cabinet secretary. But he would be a train wreck as nominee.

Regretably, Gingrich has proved himself over the years to be smart as hell, a great debater, and totally lacking in moral principles.

He doesn’t have any desire whatever to save our country. He wants to return to power, and he’ll do anything to get back into power, as he proved, to take one example, when he sucked up to Steele and the RNC by shilling for Dede Scozzafava, even though he was thoroughly aware that she was as corrupt bribe taker and liberal spender who supported abortion on demand and gay marriage.

Or when he sucked up to Nancy Pelosi and supported her efforts to put cap and trade into effect and permanently bankrupt our energy industry.

There’s nothing he won’t do to get back into power. And as he proved in his last term under Bill Clinton, there’s nothing he won’t do to stay in power.

There’s a national tea party now? How’d I miss that?!

And I notice that they didn’t list a reason Cain shouldn’t debate Obama, as they did with Perry and Romney. Chumps.

Snarky? You’re not really serious right? How did he use “Cain’s troubles” in that piece? The worst thing said is that in their opinion Cain can’t win. I tend to think they have a point and it’s not connected to “Cain’s troubles”.

Who do you want to be in it?

Herman Cain. Not Newt. Giving Newt power always turns out badly.

Uh, this came from a PAC that was formed *last night*, not from the Gingrich campaign.

“A super PAC supporting former House Speaker Newt Gingrich launched during the CNBC presidential debate Wednesday night, “to support Newt Gingrich’s comeback run for president.”

The super PAC, called Solutions 2012, was formed to support Gingrich’s campaign by providing the resources and manpower that the campaign currently lacks.”

Newt is running for president. Why would he not present himself as the best candidate and most likely to win the election?

To do so isn’t it required he say the other candidates don’t measure up? It’s a contest. Is a candidate expected to say he is NOT the best choice?

If you dispute his evaluation, fine. But I can’t see he did anything unethical or even disagreeable here.

I’m not sure why you want Newt to distant himself from it? Do you think he doesn’t think he is the best candidate?

And where are Cain’s troubles you mentioned at the header? Why are you doing this? Do you think he has troubles? You are doing the media a favor if you think that. If Newt can surpass Mitt I’m all for it. I’m hoping Santorum does the same. I want Mitt at 2% and Huntsmen at 1%. I’m tired of the media saying he’s the one who won the debate and covering for him.

Conservatives love him.

Only if those conservatives have forgotten that you don't become the Speaker of the House in 1995 by being an outside-the-beltway, anti-big-government, strict constitutionalist. You get to the pinnacle of Washington power politics by being everything conservatives want to bleach, burn or blast out of our nation's capitol.

Newt is in no position to criticize anyone on morality.

3 wives with affairs while being married. Newt and wife #3 were having an affair while he was speaker and for at least 2 years with tons of witnesses. Don’t even ask where they use to meet, it is beyond pathetic.

EVERY SINGLE candidate will get the anal exam 24/7 from now until the general election day.

So have fun hopping around to different candidates.
