Perry’s campaign has been one facepalm moment after another. There’s a certain devoted FReeper gal, however, that will post some stories early tomorrow morning and tell us why we’re all wrong.

Even I feel bad about it ending that way and I’ve made no secret of my feelings about Rick Perry’s record.
That said, this campaign is far bigger than Rick Perry, so we can’t be giving out mulligans during Perry pity party.
He is done.
Can you imagine how much ammo Perry has provided for any opponents negative campaign ad.
Toast, and I have been a supporter.
And the liberal media thought Cain would be the easiest target to take out. I saw it. And Perry just moved to the top of the Liberal “Take out A GOP Candidate” List.
They have just smelled more blood in the water, with Perry, than they ever smelled with Cain. Perry should go back to Texas to administer the In state Tuition Program for illegals. He’s finished.

I feel sorry for Perry, because he’s unquestionably a good man and a solid conservative on most issues. He was doing much better tonight - until “the moment”.
Look,we need to win this election and having every independent or frustrated Democrat look at your candidate and think “OMG, it’s George W Bush all over again” is not helpful. I really liked Bush and I like Perry (just not as Presiden).

I don’t think forgiving him is the issue here. This is the nomination for the next president, not some high school talent show.

On the one issued that is very near to his heart - energy. He’s spoke of it many times as being key. He mentioned three things - energy was a given for him - so I can see how he forgot it. I can’t recall is only allowed for miss hillary.
