During Wednesday nights CNBC debate, Rick Perry couldnt recall the third department he would eliminate. Will this end his campaign or just be a bump in the road?

We Texans have been tryring to tell yall about Perry. Not a bad GOV considering the choices, but he aint no more Presidential Material than Cain. Cain beat my mama and never gave me a christmas present.
Did you see his interview with Chris Wallace a couple of weeks ago? He was quick, knowledgeable, thorough in his answers—very impressive. Debates are simply not his forte, but truth is he did very well except for that one short instance. Cain was the big embarassment as far as I am concerned. “9-9-9,” “9-9-9,” “9-9-9,” “9-9-9” gets old really fast. He was one dimensional. Perry did better than Cain overall.
I agree with your post #26.
LaRaza Rick’s “oops moment” has been lasting for about three months now.
Pretty soon it may become “legal” here on FR to call his supporters various terms having the meaning “mentally challenged”.
I mean, you judge a boy by his friends, and one of yours can count half as far as the average dog.
Well, you had been bad all year and your Mama needed a good whuppun’.
Get on the Cain Train.
It’s unfortunate we have such a screwed up system for selecting Presidents. Not to defend Perry, but seriously... What does having good “debate” skills have to do with the skill set needed by a President? Nothing.
Presidents don’t debate issues. Truly they don’t even need to have some total encyclopedic knowledge of issues. What they need is to be able to recognize good advice when they hear it, and sense when they know enough to make a decision. Then they need to be decisive, and move on to the next thing.
We’re better at selecting an American Idol than we are at selecting a President. Nothing about our process really tests for the right stuff. As exhibit “A” I would present the current occupant.
Time for an Aggie Joke.
Ok I get it, his opponents in the Texas gubernatorial politics were worse than Perry, how sad.
Exactly.
So Perry slipped. Big deal. People magazine material. The King of England stuttered.

Amen
How many Black Men does America need to put in the White House to prove were not Racist? This is Affirmative Action at its Height. I know more about Foreign Policy than Cain. These are dangerous times. That light at the end of the train tunnel is Obummer and it's a Cain Wreck. He aint no more ready than Perry. Sarah hangeroner
Perry’s a drunk.
Perry’s done. Newt knocks it out of the park AGAIN. His depth of knowledge and ability to articulate the conservative vision — no one comes close to his talent.
Every day it becomes more clear he is the guy who can not just beat the communist, but beat him badly.
Its pretty clear at this point that Gov Perry's main goal is to survive the debates. Sorry that doesn't cut it for a presidential candidate.
Having said that. If you take away Perry's huge brainfart, he did fairly well tonight. Too bad its the one bad reply that everyone will remember.
I don’t believe that. He just had back surgery thats Oxycontin AND Shiner Bock.
Herman Cain has had his moments too friend. I don’t think you’ll find either one of them at the next mensa meeting.
Hit one out of the park there friend. It is even more unfortunate the American people keep on doing the same things, expecting different results.
My bad. A few of the American people. Half could care less.
