What I find very alarming is our ``conservative`` radio talk show hosts are constantly referring to Herman Cain as a ``conservative``, as if there is an intentional motive by these hosts to convince listeners that Herman Cain is a ``conservative``, when in fact Herman`s 9-9-9 plan is comparable to government enforced central planning on a federal level. And let us not forget how that central planning thing worked out for the ``Union of Soviet Socialist Republics``!
QUESTION:
Why would Mark Levin and other “conservative” talk show hosts constantly call Herman Cain a “conservative” when the evidence of Herman’s political “conservatism” is his 9-9-9 proposal and includes “opportunity zones” which is a proposal for federal “central planning”, big government picking winners and losers; would be an outright assault upon our free market system; is a proposal which violates our founder’s intentions forbidding preferential regulations of commerce to be granted by Congress to any state; blatantly proposes unequal tax law; and obviously ignores that part of our Constitution which requires direct taxes to be apportioned and indirect taxes to be uniform throughout the United States?
Why does Mark Levin call Herman Cain a “conservative” when Herman Cain proposes a further trashing of our Constitution; would enlarge our federal government’s central planning ambitions and trash our free market system; and would have big government picking winners and losers just as Obama‘s administration has done with the Solyndra swindle and plundering of our federal treasury?
Tell us Mark Levin, what part of Federalist No. 45 do you not understand which summarizes our federal government’s constitutionally limited job as follows?
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected.
The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.
Tell us Mark Levin, what part of the Tenth Amendment which was specifically adopted to give force and effect to Federalist No. 45 and guarantee “federalism“, our Constitution’s plan, do you not understand, when you dare to call Herman Cain a “conservative“?

Read my lips Herman Cain. No additional national sales tax on top of the socialist tax calculated from incomes which you support.

“I didnt call Levin a RINO. I asked a question.”
Asking the question makes the implication. For a LOT of us who listen to Mark, we simply don’t want to hear that.
And what the hell does Cain have in common with RINOs?
JWK
Uh yes it does..... There you go again.... Changing the terms of Cain’s tax plan in order to attack it.
No one, well most people in power, will repeal the the 16th Amendment unless we have an alternate tax plan in place. THAT is what 999 does.
You just cannot say let’s repeal the 16th Amendment without a plan already in place first. The 16th Amendment will NEVER BE REPEALED without a plan already in place.
Do you understand we have the highest Capital Gains taxes in the World?
They would go from 35% to 9%..... All income tax would go to 9% from whereever your tax bracket is.... ONLY when you make a NEW purchase, then you will be taxed at 9%.
It would transform the power of the money from Washington DC back to the people. It would be a lot harder for Washington to raise taxes too since it would raise it on everyone and not just the “rich” in the current tax code.
It would destroy many of the embeded taxes too.
Oh and it would hurt lobyst too. Perhaps that’s why you don’t like it. You must be in a field that is benefiting from the current Communist Progressive tax code.
His opportunity zones. Did you miss the first post in the thread?
JWK
Call Levin and find out the meaning of the ZOT! (Get off the phone ya big dope!)
Regarding sales taxes, I have noticed public interest in sales taxes is much greater than their interest in payroll withholding for an income tax.
They face it every time they have to buy something.
Around here we've defeated several special local sales tax referenda because NOBODY wants to increase their sales taxes.
I'd imagine Cain's 999 plan could benefit from local control.
JWK
“What the hell does Cain have in common with RINOs you ask?
His opportunity zones. Did you miss the first post in the thread?”
Is that it? Pretty weak in my book. Have you actually seen what his plan does in these opportunity zones? It basically DESTROYS the unions, ends the public schools, and puts the local potentates out of business. It’s much, much, more than locating a small factory between dueling gangs to get some tax breaks.
Cain actually wants to clean up ALL of this country...rather than give up on huge chunks.
You did realize Warren Buffett only pays 7% ~ the Democrats want you to believe he pays 35% because they set a top bracket at that rate.
It's simply not so.
A system that actually collects what it says it does is preferable than one that doesn't come anywhere near that.
I pay higher than 7% and don't make anywhere near the money Batarde Buffett makes.
No YOU ARE PLAYING WORD GAMES....
You keep implying that Cain’s plan is ON TOP of the current tax code. Which is total B.S. and you know it.
BS! You don’t have a clue.
Let me also explain this about Levin, on this site.
While you may want to call Rush and Hantity RINOs (for whatever reason), and call Medved a RINO (because he is), and call ANY of the candidates, including Cain, a RINO, most of us, on this site, will stand between an assassin and Levin and take the bullets - that’s how we feel about him. You’re hitting on the wrong person. You can hit him on his judgment, but don’t EVER claim he’s a RINO.
“You keep implying that Cains plan is ON TOP of the current tax code. Which is total B.S. and you know it.”
Actually, I think he has it mixed up with Perry’s so-called ‘flat tax’ of 20%, which actually DOES leave the existing tax structure in place (per Perry’s own words).
You have a choice as to whether to use the 20% plan, or stick with the existing structure.
Absolutely IDIOTIC, now people will have to deal with 3 SIMULTANEOUS tax codes - Perry’s 20%, the existing tax code, and the Alternative Minimum Tax - and figure out which one they should (or must) use.
That’s really brilliant Perry.
“Well to me its not very conservative to propose giving the Feds a national tax...”
A bit of the old “camel nose under the tent” concern, right?
We’re to just trust old Herb that 9% won’t become 12% next time the dems get a majority?
And we’re to see it as a good thing to add another way to be taxed, instead of replacing the income tax with a sales/VAT stype mechanism?
I’m done with addressing your “concerns”, since you can’t seem to be able to engage my analysis.
Your questions are not serious. They are moronic.
I keep on saying his proposal keeps alive Congress` power to lay and collect taxes calculated from incomes. And until that power is withdrawn, Congress is free to give new birth to the tax code in spite of Herman’s proposal, and re-establish the 80,000 page tax code which would be in addition to the new national sales tax which Herman is also proposing. Perhaps you didn’t know it but the Washington Establishment has been trying to get a federal consumption tax [national sales tax, value added tax, fairtax, etc.,] going since the 1908’s in addition to keeping alive Congress’ power to lay and collect taxes calculated from incomes. Herman’s plan, if adopted, would accomplish that evil goal.
JWK
I am opposed to a national sales tax, of any amount, until repeal of the 16th Amendment, and then a constitutional amendment that would set the upper limit of the sales tax.
Giving the voracious taxers in Mordor-on-the-Potomac a sales tax without first taking away the slave tax is insane.
