I do not support Perry but these personal attack politics have to end.

I like Perry, but have concerns about his ability to communicate. Prefer Cain.
BUT, I would question describing Perry as “Spirit-filled” based on how he tore into Romney (NOT a Romney fan) in one of the last debates.
Both he and Michelle Bachman have taken attack modes on their Christian brethren that is out-of-character for a Christian. I’ve been saddened to see both do this. They only demeaned themselves.
Cain and Newt, on the other hand, have not used such tactics, but stayed above it - as they all should.
This is the first I am seeing of the now famous video.
Actually, it just looks like a guy whose style is not usually demonstrative or spontaneous but who has been coached to show some ‘spontaneity’.
Of course this is a political campaign and Perry would be advised to just stay with the delivery he knows.

It’s EMBARRASSING to have a candidate who can’t keep off the bottle, even when he knows he’s about to make a speech.
First, you must understand the issues surrounding hiring people who you've discovered hiring illegals ~ that's where the problem begins. For some of us that employer is a "SLAVER" and worthy of little more than a swift death penalty. For others I can only suppose he is a great contractor who gives them the lowest price.
Anyway, right there is the problem ~ the cause of the problem ~ and the continuation of an older problem which has in the course of time actually led to civil war.
I can only suppose Texas schools don't teach the same Civil War courses that are taught in, for example, Indiana. Else, Rick would have had a visceral reaction that would easily have carried him through his 30 second time limit and thoroughly crushed Romney ~ as a man who traffics in slavery!

First of all, Perry had the entire nomination in his hands. I truly believe that before the first debate he would have won and I believe that 100 percent. However due to his own personal politics he completely fell apart. He is fully responsible for his downfall and nobody else. I would love to take credit for keeping this guy out of the White House but I had ZERO to do with it.
I agree that his attack on Romney was not a wise move and it hurt him as well. Politics is a tough field for Christians and I’m sure you agree that simply being filled with the spirit one day doesn’t mean you won’t do or say something sinful the next. And the same applies to Bachman
I saw the excerpted piece on Fox a few times. In none of my viewings did it bother me at all. I thought he was simply being light-hearted and humorous. And I agree, the crowd was with him on this and they laughed along.
It’s sad to me that that light moment is being force-fed as somehow odd. He said nothing out of line, he did nothing out of line, and I’m convinced he meant nothing out of line.
It took a concerted effort on the part of the media, on the other hand, to force this to be interpreted as inappropriate.
Trying to be nice here today - but what you just posted is not consistent with the truth. Yesterday, Mr. Cain launched an attack on Gov. Perry - accusing his camp of being behind the leaks about allegations in his past. Gov. Perry has denied any role in this & that of his camp.
It is now up to Mr. Cain to prove his slanderous charges against Gov. Perry. Perry has only had nice things to say about Cain - but the opposite is not true. You can't twist the truth around to suit your purpose.
My bad. You are absolutely correct, and I simply had forgotten he just stooped down to the same level.....
I was sorely disappointed when I saw this, and yet simply forgot it as I was thinking only in terms of the debates......

I actually liked that Rick Perry in New Hampshire. He seemed much more awake than in the debates.
I appreciate your comments. I do think our candidates are getting bogged down in these circular attacks - Obama is the target. Even here on FR, I’ve been seeing too much of it & it is disheartening.
AGREED!!! We're all getting wrapped up in the emotion of the campaigns and forgetting who the REAL target of our enmity should be...obama!
I pledge to whole heartedly support any candidate who wins the GOP nomination (with the exception of Mitt Romney....he'll get my vote but not my heart). Obama must go!
