Firstborn is getting married! So yesterday I visit the venues, she wants to be married on a farm with a barn. What do I see at the venue I prefer? In the office, a Sarah Palin bobblehead hung in effigy. Can anyone suggest a farm/venue between Winston and Durham? I would like to patronize a conservative.

Barn wedding? Is that the new fad? I ask because we attended a wedding last weekend, and the reception was in a barn. A very drafty barn - we left early because it was too cold!

Can’t help with the venue but once you find one you may want to contact that place and tell them why you aren’t using them.....ask to talk to the owner.
