If Mitt Romney gets the nomination there is no hope for America. Google The White Horse Prophecy. Mitt is a white Barack Obama!
That's all the more reason w need to unite behind the only man standing between him and the Republican nomination, Herman Cain.
Too bad but I think that Newt is part of the Establishment, and that ain’t good!
You ping like you make love.....hot and heavy and with passion...:O) I am just guessing, :O)
Well, I’m single, so no love making for me! But I will keep that in mind if and when I find my true beloved!!
Keep on trucking those pings!
Will do!
NGZ....you’re doing fine! :-)
Thanks NoGrayZone. It’ll get better.
“You are aware that Stephen Moore has disavowed the National sales tax? Right?”
He didn’t disavow it - he said in the article below that he still likes it and it’d be “rocket fuel for the economy”, but that it’s just too much of a punching bag, and advises that it’d be much easier for Herman if he changed that part to a 9% payroll tax. He said if he wants to keep the sales tax part, he needs to explain it better to the public. Despite receiving a letter from Moore on this, Art Laffer still supports the entire proposal wholeheartedly, and Paul Ryan supports it.
I’m not sure it’s that dire but the outcome seems almost the same. I hear ya.

I would vote even for the ridiculous Perry - who lost it during the last debate - over Obama. None of the GOP candidates are as destructive as Obama for this country.
“Also, another prominent economist came out in favor of 9-9-9 today and (as indicated in another thread) has not only endorsed Cain, but has decided to join his economic team as an advisor.”
Well then, can’t some of these respected, credible economists come out publicly with tv appearances, an ad, etc., explaining it to the public rather than have candidate Herman being ganged up on by all the other candidates, which hurts him in the polls and public opinion???
“The rest of Cains think tank - Laffer, Cain, Lowrie and now Forbes Contributor Charles Kadlec all support it.”
And from what I gather, Paul Ryan does as well. Even Moore said he still thinks the sales tax is a good thing for the economy but it’s a political punching bag.
Again I say, these respected men need to come out with some kind of joint ad or appearance that will reach the masses, to explain why Herman’s plan is the right one! All the other candidates ganged up on him in Tuesday’s debate and did some damage in the public’s mind, I fear.
Kadlec was the one I was thinking of and he published an outstanding article in either the WSJ or Forbes yesterday that explained the 9-9-9 plan better than I’ve heard anyone explain it. There is a link on another thread and I encourage you to read the article.
The biggest complaint I hear is the tax is “regressive” to the poor and raises taxes on 80% of Americans. He explains that technically this is true, in that almost 50% pay nothing now. When you put it in that perspective, it seems like a reasonable plan.
I find it funny that no one criticizes Romney’s plan. Could it be too difficult to understand? Nor is there a coherant plan put forth by any of the other candidates except for Perry’s announcement of a “Fair Tax” plan that is to be released in a few days.
Regardless of whether Cain is the nominee or not, I think Romney had best take a look at his proposal and work towards a more simplistic plan that voters can comprehend. Adding to the tax code isn’t going to cut it any longer.
