Years ago I went out on the deck and pounded on the siding to scare away something in the bushes below.

That's pretty. I guess you don't live in an environment where a) thugs would yank your arm off, or b) a cougar or bear would eat you.

You must be on middle ground. Where they still have skunks.

We have bears, mountain lions and there have been gang banger types around the last few years. I don’t know where you come up with the assumptions you make.
