Via SeattleTimes:
The 150 Occupy Seattle tents in Westlake Park were taken down by 7:30 Monday morning as Seattle police and Seattle parks employees moved in to clear what the city has long said was illegal camping on city property.
Police also arrested nine people.
All the tents were down within a half-hour, according to Assistant Police Chief Mike Sanford.
The protesters were told to take the tents down. If they didnt take them down themselves, police or parks employees took them down for them, according to Sanford.

“Apparently there is more testosterone in Seattle than NYC (who knew?).”
Probably there is just more real commerce in Seattle, so even the leftists have no patience for this crap.
I saw that the media are now pretending that the radical, left-wing protest groups were infiltrated by outsiders.
That’s how they’re providing cover for the cities that remove the trash.
“The protesters are exposing their kids to all this.”
Somehow I suspect that between selfishness and sexual deviance there are not a whole lot children between these freaks (at least that they have custody of).
Citizens of all cities, and towns across the United States wherever these pukes are demonstrating must rise up, and demand their city governments do the right thing, and disallow any breaking of the laws.
The pukes are of mob mentality, and will break the law thinking they will get away with it. If allowed to break the law, they will break more laws, and anarchy, which is what their backers want will ensue.
Nutty leftists.....
I truly can’t believe the mayor of Seattle let this eviction happen on his watch. He must have been forced to allow it by some big money forces in downtown Seattle who were sick of the weirdos trashing the downtown vibe and appearance. The mayor was probably throwing up this morning as his peeps were being thrown out of the Westlake Mall area.
I’m sure bathing the Flea Party in the Bay would violate some EPA regulation.
Our Seattle mayor is a big lib loony who wants to change the speed limit to 20 mph.
But Westlake Park adjoins the Bank of America and is kitty corner from the Nordstrom flagship store. Also across the street from Chase.
So probably there was some pressure from this group.
I'm impressed he had the balls to get rid of these losers. But now I have to endure the endless sob stories being shown on the local news.
