Same here. After 30 years as a Republican I recently registered as an Independent. It was hard to do at first but now I’m happy I did.

hope, if you are living in a state that only allows you to vote in the primary of what your registered as...that could present a problem.

In Texas you don’t register by party. I like it that way. You’re not a Republican until you vote in the primary, but you can still vote anyway you want.

We stayed registered as republican for one reason, it is closed primaries here in AZ.
