Bill Lerach, the politically-connected lawyer who made a fortune in bringing security fraud class actions against publicly traded companies, pleaded guilty in October 2007 for his role in an alleged decades-long conspiracy pursuant to which serial plaintiffs were paid kickbacks from their court-awarded attorneys' fees in the cases, and during his two-year prison stint a former Hells Angels motorcycle club leader acted as his "unofficial guardian" as reported by Ann Woolner for Bloomberg. The once high-flying legal eagle now is a free man but remains grounded from practicing law, and reflecting back on his lawsuit shtick says he "wouldn't change anything I did," and adds "I'm proud of my life and what we achieved for people."
Meanwhile, Mel Weiss, one of Lerach's alleged partners in crime, pleaded guilty in April 2008, and after 2 1/2 years in the pokey now spends his time fighting a clawback action filed against him by the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of Bernard Madoff's investment company as reported by Linda Sandler for Bloomberg.

I remember that puke Lerach. He was a sheister attorney in San Diego. When Clinton was president he stayed at Lerach’s house in Rancho Santa Fe just outside of San Diego. Birds of the feather flock together.

Couldn’t view it.
I immediately got spy-ware and virus warnings and my
machine advised me to back the hell out of there quick.
