Tin foil hats are always good for that.
“The few at the top...that have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ are and will be in control...and dictate to everyone else. Like it or not, get used to it.”
Yeah, yeah, yeah; we’ve been through this before. It is why we fought a Revolution, or didn’t you read history?
You have a valid point, but money is only part of the equation. There is a balance between the interests of money, the interests of the majority, and the voluntary adherence to the rule of law.
It can seem at times that money has its way with the rest of the forces, but it is not absolute. For one thing, we are an amazingly dedicated people to the rule of law. Today we see arrests in Arkansas of crooked cops. The abuses of power and money are limited by our courts.
And the people are not sheep. I know I am alone in supporting the 99%ers, but I don’t quite understand why. It seems to me that the 99%ers are expressing conservative values of fighting back against abuses. If we were a communist nation, conservatives would welcome street demonstrations against the abuse of power. When Wall Street colludes with bankers to effectively deny us our liberty, freedom, and our ability to pursue happiness, it is incumbent upon us to rise up and say, we will not go quietly into that dark night.
Well, the Golden Rule IS “He who has the gold makes the rules...”
It doesnt matter? Sure it does. Supreme court picks. Excutive orders...Comm in Chief...the POTUS still matters. Herman Cain would be much different than Hussein. Even Perry (G-d forbid) would be better....not much maybe, but better.
