Ive decided to perform a public service myself by highlighting the tragedy of OWS. Accordingly, Im dedicating todays post to the People of Occupy Wall Street (POWS). Theyll tell you in their own words how they came to be part of the 99%. A portion of all proceeds from todays post will be donated to the 501(c)(9) charity, Graduates With Severe Economic Disorders. You can read their complete stories on the People of Occupy Wall Street website, where Im betting you can make a donation too.
Here are the plights of just a few of the 99 percenters; Ill let them tell you their stories in their own words:

Tragedy of OWS is just a Rehashed 50’s Queen for a day show sob story, oprah snores.
The problem with “math, science and engineering” is that they are hard. It’s really a catch 22. The smart thing to do is to go into engineering. But you have to be smart to be an engineer.
I was just thinking... The Donald is missing a big opportunity...if he were to wander down to Wall St with some cameras.....he’d have 10 seasons worth of candidates to interview for his reality show The Apprentice. That would be sweet.
I doubt if Leno would do his *Jay walking* interviews with any of these yahoos. It would hit to close to home.
Missed opportunities. :(
I want to raise taxes on the “super-rich” AND I want him to give me a job! Seriously.. I have a KILLER resume. 127 applications, I mean, obviously if the super-rich paid more in taxes they would hire me! /duh
Three decades ago, I was living overseas...students were rioting in all the major cities...........kids with Oxford degrees, et al; b/c when they came home, there were no jobs [underdeveloped countries] for them.
We’re just a little bit late to the party.
The pretender-in-chief promised them.....they were hoodwinked. So sad. Too bad.
Boo Freakinig Whooo...
It was your responsibility not the taxpayers to pay your bills. I am the 1% who pays for YOU to bitch about YOUR bills!
Here's a selection of some overnight #OWSPickupLines with a link down below to many others:

12 years of college = professional student!
I wouldn’t hire her for cashier!
Hey, you 22 yr. old recent grad, you don’t get to DEMAND anything! Maybe that is why you don’t have a freaking job, moron!
22 year old college graduate with a Killer resume? What could he possibly have on his KILLER resume other than “student”?
Hey, genius, if there are no jobs for Psychs why are you getting a degree in that, why not nursing, pharmacy, etc. where there ARE JOBS!
Every college age young adult I can get to listen to me gets the same advice: "If you go to college, learn how to do something. Don't just go learn about something." The colleges offer so many worthless degrees. They do so IMO strictly to make money and perpetuate the myth that the intelligentsia that run the schools are smarter than the rest of us.
I have one and I agree, totally useless degree in any job market unless you want to get into government "service". Told my kids I would not help pay for college unless it was for a degree in hard sciences, math or engineering.
Great advice!
Engineering is now considered a "dead end" job and it probably is. In case you haven't noticed our "smoke stack" industries have quietly slipped away and have been replaced by "service" industries which do not demand a rigorous technical education. What is left of our manufacturing base employes H-1B visa holders to reign in costs. We export logs and import plywood for crying out loud. The global/multi-national economy has neutered our domestic economy as money and jobs flow off shore.
During WWII we fought a two front conflict and won largely by out producing our enemies. We built more ships, tanks, trucks, and planes then the rest of the world combined. We were launching "Liberty" & "Victory" ships to carry all the material to battle at the rate of ONE SHIP PER DAY. Today we'd have to scramble to come up with the domestic steel to build a ship. Everything including the engineering is now outsourced. Software is written in India, integrated circuits are produced on the Pacific rim. If we had to fight WWII today we'd be so screwed it isn't funny.

PS I have two engineering degrees, was downsized (a multi-national bought our little $90 million business and ran it into the ground.) at 53 and could not find a job in industry. Things don't look any better now.
At that point in their lives, some folks have 3 or 4 years' experience in real work relevant to their science/engineering degrees. I doubt that this fellow falls into that category ...
