TAMPA, Fla. -- For about 60 demonstrators who showed up at Gaslight Park in downtown Tampa on Sunday, the rain wasn't about to water down their message.
It also wasn't about to impact plans for about 100 people in Bradenton to join the Occupy Wall Street-inspired movement earlier that day.
"I really believe in this movement. I believe it's time to address the influence that corporations have on our government," demonstrator Rugh Cline says.
He joined those who showed up with umbrellas and signs wrapped in plastic. A posting on Occupy Tampa's Facebook page advertised a shipment of ponchos being delivered to those who decided to stand in the showers.
"What is the problem? The wealth is unevenly distributed in this country," demonstrator Ashley Perry says.
As the Occupy Tampa movement continues, like many others around the country, questions have been raised about whether some demonstrators are paid to attend and hold signs. At least in Tampa Bay, Cline says he's never heard of that occurring.
"This is very grassroots. People have come out here on their own free will. If anybody's being paid to protest, that's news to me," he says. "That's definitely not happening."

So? Wealth will ALWAYS be unevenly distributed because some will always work harder, some will always be luckier, some will always be smarter, and on and on. And even if someone (government?!) redistributes it, it will STILL be distributed unevenly because they are NOT about to give every person the exact same amount because guess what? THEY are going to skim more off for themselves and their cronies. IDIOTS...
The press is starting to look corrupt. Maybe the ‘bias’ is more than plain old bias... This stuff is hard to miss:

Heck my husband just lost his job, I should send him to NY and tell him to check in. Nope, never happen. He has too much class. This whole thing is making me crazy!
As far as "Occupy" is concerned, if it comes to your city - and they're paying $650 plus benefits for a warm body - he could always take it and report back here what they're up to... earn some money - have some fun. Then again, looking at the people they're hiring, might be scary to have a loved husband involved...
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It is encouraging to be around such nice folks like you on FR. We are survivors so we will hang in there! (without sending him into the dregs on society) LOL!
Look at the sign @ bottom left. Wonder how in HIS world this is possible, LOL???
