The reports are not good, disturbing even. I have heard basically the same story four times in the last 10 days, and the people doing the talking are in New York and Washington and are spread across the political spectrum. The gist is this: President Obama has become a lone wolf, a stranger to his own government. He talks mostly, and sometimes only, to friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett and to David Axelrod, his political strategist. Everybody else, including members of his Cabinet, have little face time with him except for brief meetings that serve as photo ops. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner both have complained, according to people who have talked to them, that they are shut out of important decisions.

" To be a president, one must prove an ability to think on one`s feet "
Why is it ? that we would not be surprised at all if they were to do a fake photo op of him standing by the white hut window looking down and a lot on his mind just like that famous J.F.K. picture in the white house ?
Carrying on a failed ideology ( Marxism, Liberalism, Communism ) that is nothing but a fantasy that does not work only has a certain shelf life until it's a burden .

They didn’t just say it, in the case of Oliver Stone they made VERY long films about it with plenty of scenes made out of whole cloth.
Still, ‘Nixon’ did convey an overall sense of isolation, combativeness, obsession with one’s enemies and the care and feeding of petty grudges. Obama & Co. are acting exactly like the historical figures they despise and defame.

Beautiful, the man with his hand on the big red button is melting down. At least he has the love of his life, Michelle to lean on. [sarc] Who ever the actual brain child was who first thought of pushing this narcissistic neophyte into the most powerful position in the world should be ashamed. My guess is that he will end up being thought of more like Michael Jackson with people pitying more than admiring him.

I think you hit the nail on the head: Obama really believed that “just showing up” was pretty much the job. Affirmative Action product that he is, up till now that WAS his job, I suspect, in position after position. Just show up and flash that big smile.

If you read Dreams From My Father what's most noticeable is a narcissistic lassitude and a smoldering anger about everything. The man seemed borderline psycho.
