[You will? JWK]

I wouldn't vote for the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave even with a gun pointed at my head. Its just starting to bother me that who ever seems to rise to the top gets beat up on by other conservatives - and in some cases worse that the dems

All the conservative candidates have flaws(even Palin who is not running, but was my choice). But seeing the damage the current idiot is doing (I'm in NYC - and you should see the mess and chaos his thugs are doing here), I'd vote for a pet rock first.

How many times does Herman Cain says he wants to "scrap the current tax system before the implantation of his plan" before anyone believes him?

Frankly, ANY GOP candidate who wants to scrap the current IRS system is worth paying attention to as I believe its the one issue that will pull even liberal dems over to our side.

NO ONE LIKES THE IRS

Other western countries and even so-called "emerging markets" are realizing that a progressive tax system cripples an economy and ... oh heck, I feel another rant coming on. Not for this thread.

Jimjohn,

As to Obama, we are pretty much in agreement. But scrapping the IRS Code is not the same thing as removing the power from Congress’ hands to lay and collect any tax calculated from profits, gains, interest, salaries, wages, tips, inheritances or any other lawfully realized money!

Indeed, Herman Cain not only proposes to keep two forms of this thieving tax alive, but offers to impose another tax, a national sales tax, on top of two forms of the Marxist income tax which would even go so far as to tax the necessities of life! And this is exactly what the Washington Establishment has been trying to accomplish since the 1980’s! Their desire has been to have a consumption tax [national sales tax, valued added tax, fairtax, etc.] while keeping alive the Marxist income tax.

It should also be noted that Herman Cain was an unknown, politically speaking, until he started carrying the “fairtax” banner, just as Mike Huckabee was a nobody nationally until he started promoting the ‘fairtax“. Supporters of the “fairtax” are a hardcore group, and are almost willing to die to see it adopted, even though it is probably true that not one in 2000 supporters have ever read the actual text of H.R.25, and, are unaware that if adopted along with H.J.RES. 16, Congress would still maintain the power to lay and collect taxes calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes!

However, when enough people began to realize the fairtax would create another entitlement, its “family consumption” entitlement, which would send a monthly government check to every eligible household in America, and especially to those who are not gainfully employed and already on the public dole, and support began to drop because of this and also because the “fairtax” would be put into operation before the 16th Amendment’s repeal, Herman Cain jumped ship, abandoned his loyal fairtax supporters and came up with his 9-9-9 plan to advance his own political future.

But curious as it is, Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan also keeps alive the Marxist income tax, and proposes to add an entirely new tax on top of two forms of taxing incomes, which is exactly what the fairtax is designed to do and the Washington Establishment has wanted since the 1980s.!

JWK

If we can make the majority of America’s families dependent upon a federal government check, [the alleged fair tax’s family consumption entitlement] we can then bribe them for their vote, keep ourselves in power and keep the remaining portion of America’s productive population enslaved to pay the bills ___Our Washington Establishment’s Marxist game plan, a plan to establish a federal plantation and redistribute the bread which America’s labor and businesses have produced.
