Oh how I yearned to be stranded with her...
Former 'Miss Nevada' Dawn Wells as
'Mary Ann Summers' - Gilligan's Island (1964-67):
Decades later, we at long-last know how they killed the time
on that (dopey) island: while going some ways towards
explaining the bizarre tree-licking episode above,
back in here in (what passes for) civilization...
|
You know ALL bout that stuff, doncha lil' buddy... |

Yes, Mary Ann was the one. She filled out those shorts about as well as it was possible to.
An interesting thing about Barbara Hale is she is the Mother of the guy who played Paul Drake’s son in the later revival of Perry Mason where Mason is now a judge.

This is a little off the topic, but the funniest Gilligan episode is when they find the left behind Japanese Soldier...
Those coke bottle bottom glasses..... Hilarious.
Ahh.. Girrigan... You-are-my-plisoner... Hhahahaha....
I think he was played by Margaret Carlson before she got into politics.

How about the “Petticoat Junction” gals? Especially Lori Saunders as Bobbie Joe.

Just recently publicized that Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) was the only cast member that got the extended royalties deal (for ALL reruns shown in syndication) that most actors almost always get these days. The other cast members only got paid for the first 4 or 5 reruns shown.
She made a bundle.
So she was hot, smart and (a little later) rich!

I was not a particular fan of Sally Field or Goldie but I will say both of them aged really well.

Elle May Clampett was hot. Can you imagine her talking frisky with that hillbilly accent?

Huskrrrr, you are a true connoisseur of talent sir. Barbara Eden was smokin hot in the 60s, and for many, many years afterward. Ever see the pre-Jeannie guest role she had on an episode of The Andy Griffith Show? Wow. She was smokin' hot, even in black and white.
