The one major difference between the past and today is that by late March the game is basically over.

Oh true. Funny thing, and not many people know this, but RFK announced *before* LBJ quit. RFK announced and three days later Humphrey jumped in.

RFK never lead in delegate count. He was second when he announced, and second when he was shot. McGovern was ahead of him when whe announced, only to be passed by Humphrey after he announced.

The other problem is this. It’s not just one campaign. There’s two. You have to pitch to the Republican delegates and then to the people of America. This takes time, especially for candidates with low name recognition like Cain. His big job is to get over 50 percent with Republican voters and over 50 percent with the electorate.

Last week was when Cain finally started hitting solid numbers among the republican electorate. Now he has to build on that to sell his case to the people of the United States.

This is where Palin’s advantages come in. She’s already known by the Republicans, and known by the people of the US far more than Cain. If Cain starts hitting 50 percent recognition among the electorate as a whole, Palin’s going to have a much more difficult fight ahead of her.

But I’m just a keyboard cowboy.

Right. Never mind that she made a commitment to announce by September, so as not to string people along. Little things like keeping her word don’t matter.

Yep, The Palinites point to Reagan enteringin Nov. of 79, but back then there were only 7 or so primaries by the end of March, mostly small states. Now it’s over by then.

The elite establishment wants you to believe that it is now October but we’re following a more unconventional calendar.

Today we don’t use the horse and buggy as the primary means of transportation but it’s fun to muse about their use. Times change as you say.

Must be pre-Julian Roman calender. They didn't have any August, so two months really is the end of October!

Anger leads to fear! Fear leads to hate! And hate leads to Palin!

Begone foul Sith.

I had a feeling Julius Caesar suffered from a bad case of PDS.

This means she's definitely going to announce March 15.

Does it matter? The world will end on Oct 21 of this year anyway, acc. to Camping...He makes as much sense as some
of the Palinistas...
Helpful hint: she should declare. Fill out paperwork.
It would help....
Write in candidate...?

I live in Utah and am not LDS. I'd like to give my fellow Utahans the benefit of the doubt that they'll look beyond his faith, and instead look at this RINO’s record. Utah is the most conservative state in the country, and I believe we'll once again prove this by voting for the most conservative candidate.
