Liberals Call for Death of Herman Cain; "I Applauded" When He Almost Died of Cancer

We are daily reminded by “progressives” of who they really are, and why they must be defeated.

The bad behavior of a few rabid liberals is not an indication of how Herman Cain will be treated by the “black community”.

I think I'm qualified to state how I believe most blacks will react to Herman Cain. After all, everyone I'm related to is black.

Friend, Herman may be an authentic black man, but blacks have been so thoroughly brainwashed by the left in last several decades, that he'll hardly make a dent in their thinking. Trust me. I know these people well.

Race may be a powerful uniting force among blacks, but liberal dogma trumps even that.

I confess I am not an expert on black voting trends.

Well, there's really not all that much to know, to tell you the truth. The fact is, blacks have been monolithically locked in to the Democrat party since about the end of the Eisenhower era.

It's an article of faith among blacks that the Democrat party is on their side, while the Republican party is the party of bigots and the evil rich. That simple, but effective lie, has been repeated for so long in the black community, that it's rock solid now.

Can’t you just see the uproar if Cain gets the nomination and runs against Obama? That would insure that no one could call anyone a racist!

I'm black, and when I first tried to reason with my 'progressive' liberal brother about how destructive Obama's policies were, he said to me, "that's racist."

Well then it is going to be pretty hard to argue that point with you. My only come back... is that I often think I know how friends or coworkers are going to react to something, only to find that my assumptions were wrong. They might suprise you

Mr. Cain is hated by white liberals for certain. Whether it will backfire and blacks will get a revelation, I don't have a lot of confidence. So far, blacks have fallen for the liberals' racist bilge for a long time.

A conservative Black man, especially one who aspires to a leadership role, is an existential threat to the liberal ideals, and therefore to the liberal power base. "Race hustlers" are genuinely afraid of them, because if people like Mr. Cain are successful, the "race hustlers" see themselves out of a job. Wasn't it Booker T. Washington who said something along the lines that there are some in the civil rights movement who will always work to keep racial tensions alive in order to keep their jobs? Remember the "high tech lynching" that was used to try to destroy Justice Thomas during the confirmation hearings.

It's easy to see liberals going nuts over a conservative Black leader because they fear and therefore hate conservatives. And like Al Gore (when he realized his dream of being the first "green" Billionaire was dying) they will do anything to destroy those who they see as their personal enemies.

But even the so called "moderates" are trying to marginalize him by constantly referring to him as the "Godfathers Pizza" guy. Never mind that before that, he turned around failing Burger King restaurants (plural) in the Philadelphia area. Never mind that he turned Godfathers Pizza around while he worked for Pilsbury, and then bought the company. And never a mention to the fact that in college, he graduated with BS in math. Or the masters in computer science. Nor his work as a civilian "rocket scientist" for the Navy. Nor the fact that he was the Chairman of the Kansas City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. Nope, they just try to marginalize him as a glorified pizza delivery driver.

I know what you mean. Just replace "Black" with "Jew" and your situation mirrors mine. I think that a big part of it is a sort of mental "inertia" that keeps people from changing. How many times have we heard lots of dems say that they vote that way because that's the way their parents did, and that's the way they always voted. My step-mother put it best when she told me that she's really not interested in educating herself about politics, and there's nothing she can do to change things, but she's going to vote liberal, because she's liberal. And then she goes off on how all all politicians are corrupt.

I'd be happy to be wrong all day and night, to be surprised like that.

At heart, I'm an incurable optimist, but there are certain things that I've become completely jaded on. One, is the idea that blacks will ever escape the liberal Democrat mind control plantation in any significant numbers. I count members of my own family among the permanently enslaved.

Here and there, I know of a few, who like me, broke with the mindlock of the black status quo, and sought their own answers about American politics. We're revolutionaries. In time, it may not take so much courage to adopt conservative/Republican views, but that time is not now.

Yes, I know the phenomenon well. You could also call it a mental rut. People become lazy and comfortable with the status quo of their particular group, and lose the ability to stand firm in their own personal convictions (if indeed, they even have any).

Like a single fish in a school, they move as the school does - content to let others be responsible for the direction of their existence. They don't question the lead fish, they just unblinkingly follow. It's much easier than finding the courage to swim in your own direction, and possibly become a lead fish yourself.

Absolutely sick. And for comparison, it's announced that Harry Reid's wife has breast cancer, and the good folks at FR send up prayers for her. I can only imagine the vitriol and the hate if Reid were a republican rather than a democrat.
