Wow, what a strange night at the vigil! I was only there for the last hour, and I will tell you all about the surreal event that was taking place inside of Planned Parenthood tonight, but first, here are some photos from the vigil this morning, which was maintained by our shift managers, Sally and Al Brunn, and members of St. John Neuman parish from 9am-11am, and then Shift Manager Jim Flaherty and St. Josephs parish in Cabot from 11am-3pm.

Bob at his regular post
Sharon and Diane from St. John Neuman's parish, with Shift Manager Sally
Now, I dont have any photos of the group from St. Josephs yet, but if someone sends me one, I will add it.
As I was saying, I was only at the vigil for the last hour tonight, and what a strange hour it was! The cultural district was bustling tonight, with the Gallery Crawl being hosted by many businesses. I guess Planned Parenthood thought they would take advantage of all this publicity, and decided to open its doors to draw a crowd as well. They had the doors propped open, with a sign that said Free wine, cheese and Condoms. Hows that for hospitality? Silly me, in all my years of hosting parties
I never once thought to offer condoms with the wine and cheese! Here are some photos from tonight:

What a pack of wackos. Friday is abortion day at Pittsburgh’s PP (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays). So after they slaughtered children, they bust out the wine & cheese?
Folks, you can’t even make this stuff up.
‘Burg ping
Disgusting.
You guys deserve more support.
I’m glad to see most of the anti-abortion protesters smiling in the blog photos.
As the saying goes, you get more flies with honey than vinegar, some of the anti-abortion ralliers look so hateful. I know the subject is serious and disgusting, but to the average passerby, body language is the first thing they notice.
Smiles are more attractive than scowls.
Have you been to many pro-life vigils, protests etc? So many that you know that a lot of the pro-life people wear scowls?

May God bless all people standing up for the unborn, in the service of God and all humanity.
With a party taking place at the PP abortion mill, I don’t think I want to know the source of the wine and cheese!
Also, I have seen the NAACP protesting a tennis tournament is because the Confederate flag has a minor display at the state capitol. These people had scowls and were full of hate. They made no impact (Venus and Serana were playing inside and visiting with minority children) and finally gave up.
I'm not criticizing, just making an observation.
For the record, the 40 Days campaign requires participants to sign a pledge that they will not argue, harass, or otherwise negatively engage the pro-aborts. It gets difficult - believe me. Last spring, I was praying the rosary on Saturday morning with a priest when a girl (at least I think it was a girl - one of those rather butch types) began gyrating her hips at him & trying to grind on him. She stood within inches of his face. I immediately stepped between them & a group of Lifers surrounded the priest. Another PP escort walked by & “bumped” into the priest almost knocking him to the ground. We said nothing. Just continued praying.
The police & city officials in Pittsburgh are very pro-abortion. They love to harass us when they can & we get no support from them. We can’t even lean signs against the tree that’s near PP. The police said trees are “apolitical”. 2 weeks ago, a girl was being physical dragged in by her boyfriend. She stopped to take literature from one of the pro-lifers only to have her boyfriend rip it apart. The cop standing there refused to intervene.
I don’t know what you’ve seen in the past, but I assure you, ours is the peaceful side of the debate.
Well, if you’re in western PA, come to PP on liberty Ave!!!! Lol!
There’s someone there from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. every day thru the beginning of November.
If you can’t come, please support the campaign through fading & prater for an end to abortion.
I’m glad to see these pro-life efforts, and I’d love to help, but work has me out of Western Pa for a good while.
Forgot to add: keep up the good work.
Thank you for the boots on the ground reporting. You are all heroes and heroines. I wish I lived near enough groups like yours to participate. Such is not the case, though.
Just pray. That’s all anyone ever needs.
