With absolutely no proof of any kind of who he really is, Barack Obama made it to the Oval Office in 2008. There was no media vetting of the largely absentee senator from Illinois, who even back then had the temerity to compare himself to Abraham Lincoln. All anyone ever had to go on was an autobiographical book suspected of being ghost-written by an unrepentant domestic terrorist. We all know how it goes with politicians and autobiographical books.

As much as we joke about the Canuks being America's crazy aunt in the attic, America and Canada will always be tied. Canadians come from the same blood. Canadians fought by America's side in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and in the big sandbox overseas. In more ways than not, Canada is America.

Yes - Obama was casually introduced to the world with a staged slip-of-the-tongue by that other American destroyer, Ted Kennedy, when he called Obama “Senator Osama”, then later apologized. Does anyone see that was the introduction into publicity of a heretofore unknown Senate attendee?

I suspect Bev Perdue’s gonna get a big surprise come her next election. People aren’t going to stand for talk of canceling the elections, and I’m sure her polls are going to tank over the next few months because of this. And Obama’s going to be watching her prospects carefully.
