This is just Perry troll bait. WTF cares? Only them. Obama must go and Palin can get it done.

Good luck convincing the sheeple that her resignation was anything other than a cowardly act by someone wanting to cash in on a TV deal, because THAT’S the way it will be spun.

Palin can overcome her negatives just like Reagan did. If she can convince enough Republicans to win the GOP nomination, then she will be able to do it with the general populace. And if it's really true that she can't overcame these media-manufactured negatives, then the perceived problem will take care of itself, won't it?

The media has smeared Sarah relentlessly, and she is still standing. There is little substance to her negatives. So I really don't understand all the hysterical hand-wringing and deference to the media.

We shouldn't let the media choose our candidates for us, nor embrace the notion that they have any such power. They may have at one time, but no longer.

I resigned from a company that was telling me to remove data points from a set being sent to a customer. I refused and resigned. Looking back I could have escalated further than I did, but I felt that mere fact they were putting me in that situation told me more about the company than I would learn in any other situation. I’ve had people tell me quitting is never the answer and they can never look me straight in the face when I explain the situation above.

I understand where Palin was coming from and she likely felt it was the best thing she could do for the state and that she was leaving it in able hands .... of course it didn’t hurt that she had a fall back that was more lucrative. But it doesn’t mean she was wrong.

In the end none of us can read her mind and know why she really did it, but I tend to err on the side of trust - the destruction of that trust with my past employer is why I left.

“I’m sorry, but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.”

Sadly, though, you can make a silk purse and have people who will tell you it isn’t silk, but a sow’s ear. They are deeply troubled. Scrape them off and keep moving.

You would rather have someone like Obama who uses tax money to defend himself?

>> And, if she gets the nomination, you can count on a barrage of TV ads hitting her on this issue.<<

That would be good! Then we can show how she sacrificed to keep from having the Alaska tax payers pay for her defense unlike Obama who uses our tax money to defend himself from showing his BC.

There is no politician in the nation whom I trust more, even though I might disagree on some details.

That's really what it comes down too, isn't it?

TRUST

I trust her because she put the people of Alaska before herself. I trust her to do the same thing for the nation.

Regardless of whether or not her quitting was a moral act, she was only governor of a sparsely populated state for a short time. Is this enough experience for a stint as president?

Not if that were her only governmental experience. But it's not -- she has nearly 20 years of government experience, all in executive positions.

And its not that I don't like Mrs. Palin. But in quitting she made a huge political blunder...And I know what you're going to say, she put Alaska before herself and blablablah...But the fact remains that you can't just quit in the middle of term, and then very quickly take a lucrative TV deal.

And what if she got elected POTUS and decided it was in America's best interest for her to resign from that job?

Did you ever figure out if Commander Neil Armstrong actually landed on the moon or was the whole thing done in a movie set?

Do you like Gladiator movies?

She hit the ground running and helped forge a national grassroots movement which gave rise to a new political force in American politics: the TEA Party.

Nothing against Sarah, but I didn't get involved in the Tea Party because she lead me to do so. I got involved because I was sick of irresponsible federal spending.

Yes, Sarah and I share the same views on that, but I can't say that she was my "leader" in deciding to take action.

I see. Palin is above critisism.

The point is, she is a politician, and no politician is right every time on everything. By worshipping the ground she treads on and refusing to acknowledge that Palin is only human, like you and me, you guys are making a huge mistake...

Like I said before, I like Palin and I've read her book and all that, but I don't think she can overcome the political obstacles put in her way. At this point, I'm putting my insignificant support behind Cain, but I imagine Perry will get the nomination.

What?

Is this the point where I get nervous and break down and accidentally reveal I'm a 3rd tier retread from DU or something?

Because its not going to happen. Because I'm not.
