Donald Trump and Mitt Romney together at last-meeting in New York today.

Today at 2pm in New York City one of the countries most prolific business figures, Donald Trump, will play host to Mitt Romney who was widely considered a leading candidate for the 2012 GOP nomination until Herman Cain stole the show last week.

While Romeny and Trump have had their differences in the past there is an underlying similarity that the general public should take notice of. This similarity also exists in the new GOP darling Cain, and that is entrepreneurial success!

If you view the DNC ad posted recently, www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoAv4BoOegM&feature=player_embedded, (which I just saw Trump laugh off on Fox News), and watch with an open mind, you actually see that Romney and Trump are both very successful businessmen who have created jobs, accumulated wealth and sustained large companies, and even a state, in leading people through good and bad.

What I find in many DNC ads, statements, articles, and postings is resentment towards those who experience success. This ad highlights that fact and does exactly the opposite of what they have intended if you can view it with an open mind. Is it not the American Dream to work hard and prosper, roll up your sleeves and get dirty to create your own success just the way people like Cain and Trump have?

In todays political climate and sad economic state the public should be able to view people like Trump, Cain and Romney as all that is right with America. Only in America could someone grow with a father working 3 jobs, mother working, serve his country in the military, beat cancer and become the CEO of a major pizza chain, thus experiencing the utmost of the American Dream.

I think Romney believes that he has the nomination but he needs to pre-empt any third party Donald run, or any Donald/Perry endorsement. I also think Romney wants Donald to not start calling for Sarah Palin to join the race. Romney's plan here is to inject a little crony capitalism into Trump, to pre-empt any blows to Romney's current confidence streak. It is scarey to admit it but the writing is almost on the wall when you hear about Romney now finally meeting with Trump. I will loathe a Romney presidency. I hope Trump sends him packing but my gut tells me Romney and Trump are more alike than different. Bummer.

Donald is a sure "ad"....and the Donald isn't stupid.

When will he meet with Cain? If he doesn't, it's all about "prejudice".

I think it is sad that our candidates have to get Trump’s approval. He is a democrat for pete’s sake.

Who hasn’t met with him yet?

Absolutely I agree 100%. When did Trump become such a factor. It is absolutely ridiculous that our nomination process now has path that has to go through Trump. Donald is pure democrat, and his own contributions to people like Rahm Emanuel says enough. Conservatives need to start ignoring all things Trump.

I am sure they are all scared of a third party run. Meeting with him makes it look as though they have to kow tow to Trump.

That paints an ugly picture.

Trump may have been a Democrat once but now hes firmly a Republican (maybe a moderate to be sure) BUT most of all he’s a capitalist! He has no love for socialists or Obama. He’s a good mix for the GOP—I only wish he was in the debates—that would have been good TV. IF he wants to do politics he should run for mayor of New York or Governor of the state first. He has skills that the nation could use at this point in time.

Trump knows it was Palin who made him a smart/must visit on the GOP candidate trail.
