MSNBC Host: GOP Candidates Want to Go Back to a Time When ‘Slavery was Cool’
The Blaze ^ | 09-24-11 | Madeleine Morgenstern

The racism charges keep coming at the Republicans.

The same day actor Morgan Freeman said the Tea Party was “racist” in its attempts to get President Barack Obama out of office, an MSNBC anchor said the GOP presidential candidates would like to go back to a time when women couldn’t vote and “slavery was cool.”

Thomas Roberts’ comments came in response to former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum‘s answer during Thursday’s presidential debate about gay service members in the military. Santorum said the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell“ amounted to ”social experimentation” and, if elected, he would re-instate a similar policy.

Herman Cain is the descendent of slaves. Barack 0bama is the descendent of slave traders.

It isn’t African Americans in the cotton fields anymore. Now it’s Juan, Carlos, and Maria.

You got it. The people who want cheap illegal immigrant labor are the spiritual heirs of those who wanted "free" African slave labor. And Rick Perry, who stayed in the party of slavery, the Demonrat Party, until it became a losing cause down South, is an apologist for illegal alien labor. Go to hell, Perry, and all your supporters.

It's ironic that Morgan Freeman's character in the Civil War flick Glory was the black soldier who pointed out to Denzel Washington's radical character that thousands of American whites were dying to end slavery.

Absurd for a member of the Democrat Party, the party of slavery, segregation and secession, to make such an accusation against the GOP.

All these damn people do is lie. Slavery is long dead. It was supported wholeheartedly by DEMOCRATS.

Does anyone even tune in to that channel? Seems like the only people who watch it are conservative writers who need fodder for their articles because they are on a deadline and need something quick.
MSNBC is the farm where all lefty dogs goes to live out their days foaming and tearing at their skin.

And in other news, Herman Cain wins the FLORIDA (ex-Confederate state) GOP Straw Poll.

This timing is almost as good as the New York Times rehab piece on William Ayers that "we didn't go far enough", which ran the day before 9-11.

Cheers!

Thomas Roberts

In 2005, after years of silence, Roberts came forward to testify against Jerome F. Toohey Jr., a former priest who had abused him when he was a student at Calvert Hall College High School

Roberts publicly acknowledged that he is gay while speaking at the annual convention of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) in Miami, Florida, which was held on September 8, 2006
