And any politician worth his salt would wait until a GOP candidate got invested in this, thinking it was their “Trump card” - and then blow them out of the water and make him and anyone who believed him look like a bunch of mouth breathing morons.

It sounds as if you think Trump was an honest broker in his efforts.
He was all the MSM shows. He was on The View! And then after the release of an obviously bogus document, he clammed up. No more TV for Trump. He doesn't even have an opinion.
