And that absolutely should not be allowed. I wish we had a candidate up there who was strong enough to say that.
Texas did pass the Voter ID bill, though, over the protests of whining minorities. We have to show a picture ID at the polls now and I'm quite OK with that.
And it took Texas SIX years to get that through and to Gov. Perry's desk to sign. Very few states have PHOTO voter ID required by law that Texas now has. Obama's Attorney General Erick Holder is "looking it over" and will no doubt be challenging it.
For Those Of You Who Believe What You Hear Without Checking Your Facts: Governor Rick Perry Doesnt Spport Illegal Aliens-> To Qualify For The Texas In-State Tuition Rate They Have To Turn Themselves Into Immigration Officials And Be In The Process Of Acquiring Citizenship. It Is Exactly Like US Military Service= If You Arent A US Citizen You Can Still Serve As Long As You Are In The Process Of Acquiring Citizenship.
It sounds like Perry has illegals under pretty good control. As long as the Feds are worthless, and any state that tries to seriously stop illegals is punished, I think the other states should follow Perrys lead. He's doing more than anyone else I've heard about.
Good job Perry! Too bad all this couldn't come out in the debates.
