Between Chris Lee's Craigslist escapades and Anthony Weiner's sexting, Congress has seen some high-profile ethical lapses this year.
While Lee and Weiner's transgressions cost them their seats, some of their colleagues have had better luck weathering scandals including bribery scandals, tax fraud, letting an aide who once stabbed his girlfriend handle "women's issues."
Their offenses are detailed in the seventh annual list of the most corrupt members of Congress, released by the government watchdog Citizen's For Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW)
This year's list features a number of repeat offenders, as well as some freshman legislators who've already gotten themselves into dicey legal problems.
All told, CREW identified 14 lawmakers who engaged in well-documented, egregious acts in the past year. Questionable behavior from years past didn't count which accounts for Charlie Rangel's conspicuous absent from the following list.

Hmmm...most of the people on this list are Republicans.
Yeah, and no Barney Fwank? Something smells...
*Bawney
Why only fourteen?
And if Barney Frank is not on the list somewhere between #2 and #10 then this is a bogus list.
Must.....resist.....
“Hmmm...most of the people on this list are Republicans.”
Gee, you noticed that too! No Rangle, Fwank etc etc!! Hmmm!
They’re all tied for first. And despite what most people think, yours isn’t an exception.
There's a good reason...
Questionable behavior from years past didn't count
After Nov. 2010, there were hardly any Democrats left in Congress to get in trouble.
Business Insider carrying more water for the administration. 10 of 14 are GOP and of the massive corruption mentioned, we have getting free legal advice and staffers with shady backgrounds. Really? Nancy Pelosi’s shady business dealings didn’t warrant a looksy.
If anyone was curious, CREWs is a Commie Lib outfit.
Frank may be a human wreck and a political jerk, but do you have any evidence that he lives large?
ML/NJ
Isn’t CREW one of Geo Soros’s thug organizations and responsible for most of the ethics charges against Palin?
This is obviously a left-wing propaganda outfit. They have a few unavoidable Democrats on the list, but it’s clearly biased against Republicans, some of whose offenses are relatively minor.
Little or nothing is said here about the worst offenses of congressmen: large scale money laundering, pork swilling, voting for corrupt and tyrannical legislation, and so on.
Which is worse, stealing trillions of tax dollars from the people, or having a nutball on your staff?
Isnt this a Soros-funded outfit?
IIRC, the person in charge used to work for Conyers.
Oh, I see, “In the last year”.
But at the very least, Reprehensitive Frank (D), MA, should be up for some type of “Lifetime Debasement” award for all he has done over the years to drag congress in to the gutter.
