Joe McGinniss, who was a sportswriter for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and was a one-time, long-time resident of Swarthmore, has written a book that is causing much pain in a family and might very well destroy a decent person who has much to bring to the political discourse.
The book is, well, there's not really a good reason to name it.
But SayAnythingBlog.Com has an article by Rob Port with a first hand description of the style of "journalism" for which McGinniss has become known.

I’ll bet he excerpts it in order to get hits, the scum.
Everyone should go to the original article and read Gay Joe’s email to this poor guy. Again, he refers to this man’s father as “Rolly.” Not by his surname but by his first name. He shows a complete lack of respect for anyone involved with either Wasilla, Alaska or the Palins. I believe the guy is mentally ill.
And blogs that excerpt works from other blogs, which in turn distill warmed-over news from other sources, are the worst.
Ah, the “new media” scum. They are so obscenely bad that they actually succeed in making the “old media” look reasonable.

Apparently, this “source” can’t even get its own sources right.
There is NOTHING on this blog (below) about the subject (so it’s no wonder this blogger didn’t provide an original link when it used it as a “source”).
That’s true. And I don’t contest that he is sick and sickening. One time, he put a picture of his grandkids (complete with some adopted ones) on his blog with the taunt - my family against yours, Sarah!
It’s there. Go back and check again.
McGinniss, Lupico, Leno, Letterman, et. al. are the same type of subhuman scum that burned witches at the stake back in the dark ages.
The man is a pig.
So post the original source, instead of a warmed over blog.

No, I never did. :-) I am a former liberal, though, and the NYT had much to do with shaping my views.
Maybe that’s the only source he can find for that particular article. Either way it’s worth your time to check it out. Rob Port included emails of his interaction with Joe McGinness that say a lot about Ole Joe’s vile, disgusting character.
That’s truly demented. I didn’t know that.
I wonder where Janet Malcolm is. She’s been on his case a long time. But she’s probably a lib so stands with him against Sarah.
