Thing is, the starving third world children could be saved through the usage of DDT and drought resistant cereal grains. Don't believe that DDT is some kind of miracle. It was never banned in South Africa, India, Pakistan and a few other places. In all of them, it's almost completely useless now because of the emergence of resistant mosquitoes.
