Worth a read? [No, but certainly worth a zot]

Oh, this guy is funny. And he pretty much nails it.
"Taken to a logical extreme, this sort of political pageantry ratchets up the degree of difficulty for a quality candidate with strong ideas and sound principles, especially if the candidate in question looks like an aging college professor (Representative Ron Paul) or a guy who cuts his own hair (former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson).
As 2012 approaches like the T-Rex chasing the Jeep in Jurassic Park, we are welcomed to the aforementioned logical extreme. For those who think Im overstating the case, say hello to the current field of Republican candidates and the two men leading the way: Governor Rick Perry of Texas and former Governor Romney. The very idea that the GOP is seriously considering these two men for the post of Leader of the Free(ish) World is testament to the barely subcutaneous levels to which most voters are ostensibly willing to venture in search of a true statesman."

I think he's a little harder on Perry than I would be; but he made me laugh AND think. We need more of this.

Well I see THAT worked out well for you.

Anyone who trots out those two morons as a quality candidate with sound principles has been smoking way too much of what Gary Johnson wants to legalize. Here, let me light that for you...

Let's see, pushing Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. Could there be a common theme there perhaps?
There's a whiff of ozone in the air, covering the whiff of hashish.

I just read the article. It is not all that funny, but it does make one think. It reminds me of why the TEA party matters. As much as I like Perry, it really is in a “relative” way.
I’m assuming the OP was zotted because they signed up solely to post the article - or for reasons outside this thread. There was nothing really offensive there, at least that I could see.

I confess that although I read that part, I missed the significance of it. I sort of did a Spock eybrow raise and kept reading. Good catch. 8->

Something about the named link seemed familiar to me. I didn’t visit it, but am thinking this was a retread. That may be why he’s gone so quickly.

"What we have here is failure to communicate." It seems that merely Zotting these trolls is not good enough, because few of them seem to be getting the message. I think you need to start making some examples and leaving the bodies on display for those who think they want to follow to consider...

"...The very idea that the GOP is seriously considering these two men for the post of Leader of the Free(ish) World is testament to the barely subcutaneous levels to which most voters are ostensibly willing to venture in search of a true statesman..."
Hm. That statement kind of reminds me of the old joke about the man who asks a woman if she will have sex with him for money. He offers a dollar, and when she indignantly asks the man what kind of woman he thought she was, he retorted and stated he thought they had already established that and were just negotiating.
Libtard idiots like this author (and quite possibly the person who posted it don't seem to recognize that with the election of Barack Obama, the "the barely subcutaneous levels to which most voters are ostensibly willing to venture in search of a true statesman" has been established beyond any possible mistake.
With that out of the way, down to business...
