John Bolton has decided not to throw his hat in the ring for president in 2012, which kinda makes me sad. I think he would have gotten my vote over everyone and I would have loved to see him in a debate.

I know I like him on foreign policy, but don’t know much about his stand on other issues (economic and social). I’d need to know more about his views on the broader issues.

I know you have all been waiting for the anouncement, so here goes: I will not be running for President in 2012. To all my supporters, I wish to thank you.
God bless America, and good night.

He was too one dimensional, great on foreign policy ... short on things domestic. IMHO

From what I read on him, Bolton was socially liberal.

There’s always hope for a cabinet position like Sec. of State.

I read an article many years ago that Bolton was actually well-liked at the UN, even tho’ Bush brought him there to bust some foreign heads. The foreign dignitaries liked his no-nonsense approach to foreign policy and a breath of fresh air to the prancing around issues that was prevalent at the UN.
If possible, place him on a staff position against anything Pelosi. It’s already legendary how much hatred the 2 have for each other.

I totally agree. I was hoping he would run just to have him in the debates skunking the rest of them on foreign issues.
I’d love to see Sarah Palin with Bolton as VP. What a great combo that would be.
Of course, she can still choose him; even if he doesn’t run for Pres.

Bolton would be perfect for Sec of State or Dir of CIA. Petraeus should be moved to Sec of Defense.

Secretary of State—definitely his true calling.
Allen West or Petraeus for Sec Def.
And, just to really see heads explode, Ron Paul as Chairman of the Fed. (OK, OK, just kidding.)

The way you posted your comment makes me think you are John Bolton. Nah, it just seemed like everyone else was announcing they aren't running, so why not?

A Bolton-Obama debate on foreign policy would have been a delightful spectacle.
Still, Bolton will make a great Secretary of State.

Memo to Jon Huntsman:
If John Bolton, a man much more conservative than someone like yourself, makes an honest assessment and concludes he doesn’t have a chance of winning the presidency, then WHY ARE YOU STILL RUNNING???
P.S. I think Bolton would be a great VP choice for Sarah Palin.

I’m okay with that.
He’ll be an integral part of the next administration.
