Your candidate is?
For the next year, be very, very careful about your sources of information. Rick Perry is NOT against a fence, but wants to use a fence in a smart way along with the National Guard. This is in line with a conversation I had last week with someone high up in Homeland Security. A fence on its own isn’t the only answer. You wouldn’t believe the complicated systems that are in place by illegal drug and human traffickers. You can count on Rick Perry not being quoted correctly, ever.
And, now that I’m on a bit of a rant, why does the MSM and anti-Perry people expect us to not give Perry credit for a healthy Texas economy but want us to believe that after 2.5 years, Obama has nothing to do with America’s economic semi-collapse??
Wow are you asking for it. The Perry Camp is not going to be happy with you.
Oh for pete’s sakes...not this same crackpot bag of lies about immigration reform!
How many times are we going to have to hear this krap?
And the statements are right from Perry himself. Of course I considered that there is more than one way to skin a cat (e.g. other methods rather than the fence). But no, he isn't being very clear about this at all. Sorry ... but we need to try everything, including the fence, just get it done. And, from watching video, and reading his words, I am of the opinion he is soft on illegal aliens. Period.
State which politician you back and get ready to rumble..(and it better not be Romney)
The illegal alien problem is a federal problem. States do not seal the nation’s borders. The US government enforces the borders. Fences do not work, its a waste of money. Patrols and law enforcement are needed on the borders, and within the nation, to force illegal aliens out. One cannot stack the dead bodies of illegal immigrants into fences made so high until they can no longer cross over. They can always cross over, under or through. What we need are policies to make then leave (not entice them to stay as per Obama policy).
It’s not so much being in one camp or another and more about not believe everything we read and hear.

I’m going to keep an eye on the GOP candidates under the greatest fire by the libs and the media and I’ll know who to support. They’re not afraid of Romney. They love Huntsman. They’ve had their fun with Bachmann and seem to be leaving her alone — target neutralized. I think they’re going to have a much harder time with Perry.
Rick Perry has taken the EXACT SAME STANCE as Sarah Palin has on immigration reform...and that stance is that we cannot speak to immigration reform until the border is secure and the influx has stopped!
THOSE ARE HIS AND HER EXACT WORDS!
As far as a fencce across 1200 miles of Texas wilderness is concerned, WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO STOP ANYBODY FROM CLIMBING OVER IT?
Rick Perry’s stance is EXACTLY ON SPOT...that ONLY boots on the ground at the Texas border are going to stop them crossing. And he has put more boots on the ground on that border than the federal government WHOM WE PAY to protect it!

It must be a great mystery to you how Arizona passed 1070 and California passed Prop 187.
If course, it’s the “just give up” attitude that you espouse that has made the Open Border/ Treason Lobby’s work so much easier. La Raza wants useful idiots to do their work for them, and the GOP has given them plenty of volunteers.
How great does she look in those heels? Enough said.
Why do you care who “his” candidate is? So you can pigeon hole him as a palinista, a Paulbot, or whatever and dismiss what he says?
If you disagree with what he wrote, counter his arguments. Fight his reasoning with your reasoning, apply logic and correct some misstated facts, but don’t just dismiss him because you want to fit him in some neat association.
Texas’ relationship with Mexico is very different from that of California or Mexico. An initiative like Prop 187 never would have passed in Texas. It’s not that Texans favor illegal immigration, but we recognize a real need for much of the labor that does come in. We want lots of legal cross-border traffic.
Also, we have a much smaller welfare state than California, so we don’t feel we’re getting raped like taxpayers there do.
Regardless, I think even most Texan’s are coming to the realization we need to secure the border through some affirmative means. Nothing will be fool-proof, but it needs to be a lot better (as an aside, the only ‘fool-proof’ solution is for Mexico to become open, free, stable, and prosperous - then they can filter out those coming from Central America - that’s decades away though).
Perry is my governor and I voted for him in every statewide election he’s run in. I won’t support him for president though.
He is good at keeping the status quo. His knee-jerk response to most issues is another government program.
We can’t afford the status quo any longer or any more government programs. We need somebody who actually has cut the size of government. NOTHING in Perry’s background suggests he would cut government costs, payrolls, or programs. He’d just change the beneficiaries.
Sorry, Perry supporters aren't going to convince me with such claims, I think I will be proven correct that his candidacy is going to start going downhill because of this. If Perry supporters want to attack me, fine with me. Basically, this is a dead ender for him unless he comes out forcefully to turn it around.
Good luck, but he's off my list.

Put another way, Perry will mobilize 100,000 national guard troops along the border his first day in office as President, he will build a border security fence that is state of the art and known to work, and Perry will take a position that not one person should enter the country illegally.
The border security construction Perry advocates will stretch the entire length of the U.S. southern border and will look something like the pictures below.
That's Perry's position, right?
or this
Oh, I don't know, maybe in another 20 million illegal residents along with several thousand more terrorists.
Geez, some people are so krazy to think this is really an issue and to expect a presidential candidate to clearly state their position aren't they.
I really don’t care for the phrase, “Having said that,” and you seem to say it a lot. I like Rick Perry. And you have not convinced me that he isn’t our man. So thank you for your opinion. Now go away.
It is an election for president, isn't it?
