As a Palin supporter since before day one - I've observed our potential new candidate is remarkably instinctive about politics.
I will start by saying I like what I've seen so far from Perry. Honestly he's genuinely inspiring. Like Palin almost. Like Reagan almost. He's unquestionably a new and powerful force in the until-now floundering GOP.
Governor Palin is quite familiar with popularity, and with the job of Governor. She was not long ago, the most popular governor in the United States of America.
She's had her summer with her family, fishing and working out all the family angst such a move will no doubt tend to have ... but I sense we're approaching go time here.
Perry has set this race on fire. Palin's a brilliant politician - she has television, an internet connection and her very own eyes. Governor Palin can see things are ramping up.
A week ago, I thought she would wait until after the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks of 9/11 simply to avoid competing with such a profoundly important time. Now I'm not so sure.
I'm starting to think she's decided, the moment is right now.
Let's start this.
