Detroit: Opposing Sharia is ‘Racism at its Core’ by SHEIKYERMAMI on AUGUST 22, 2011 Muslims denounce bill to ban ‘foreign laws’

Of course, of course. ‘Racism’ is the last straw for the intellectually bankrupt. But because the race card still works for some they believe if they just yell loud enough some fool might yield.

But a.) Islam is not a race, b.) Muslim spokesmen keep telling us that they have no intention to ever impose sharia on us, and c.) any opposition to sharia will meet the wrath of Allah, which includes hellfire, law-fare, jihad and if necessary religiously mandated murder.

Community leaders call state rep’s plan divisive, unnecessary– Oralandar Brand-Williams – The Detroit News

State Rep. Rashida Tlaib, right, denounces a plan to keep courts from considering foreign laws as Dawud Walid of CAIR-Michigan, left; state Rep. Harvey Santana; Mary Bejian of the ACLU of Michigan; and Jonathan Contreras of Alliance for Immigrants Rights & Reform look on.

Detroit —Opposition is mounting among Muslims against pending legislation that would ban Michigan courts from considering “foreign laws” — including Sharia, or Islamic law.

Muslim and community leaders gathered Tuesday in Midtown to denounce legislation from state Rep. Dave Agema, R-Grandville, as divisive, unnecessary and mean-spirited.

“This plan goes against our country’s core values of accepting people from all races and walks of life,” said state Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Detroit, who is Muslim. “We simply cannot move forward with this plan.

“It’s racism at its core.”

Similar measures are under consideration in 25 other state legislatures, and supporters say the protections are needed. The Michigan bill doesn’t mention Sharia, but watchdog groups say they’ve identified 50 cases nationwide that could be influenced by the religious rules. Most involved divorce or child custody.

Another sponsor of the Michigan bill, Rep. Martin Knollenberg, R-Troy, said the legislation is necessary because “we shouldn’t allow other laws to usurp the state constitution.”

He scoffed at critics who called the bill racist: “Where does it say (in the bill) it’s anti-Muslim?”

Agema last week called the accusations of bigotry “hogwash.”

A House committee has yet to take up discussion of the bill. The Council of American-Islamic Relations’ Michigan chapter announced Tuesday it would sue if it becomes law. Gov. Rick Snyder’s office hasn’t done an analysis of the measure, said his spokeswoman, Geralyn Lasher.

“We don’t know if this is an issue taking place or whether there is a need” for a law, she said.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee also encouraged members Tuesday to contact their state representatives and urge them to oppose the bill.

You probably didn’t know that sharia is already being applied by U.S. judges:

Accepting the supremacy of shar’ia law is surrender. And is it not equally racist to impose a foreign ideology upon the indigenous people of a region which the predatory power has invaded?

Note that people nowhere have accepted shar’ia law except at the point of a sword or gun. There is no logic or mercy in the practice of this “code” of intimidation, and there is apparently no means by which to seek an appeal.

Why don’t other religions have their own set of laws?

Where’s the mormon court?

Where’s the catholic court?

Where’s the baptist court?

Where’s the episcopalian court?

The **** is so special about muslims.

Seems like the best solution is to boot their I, me, my asses the hell out of this country.

Time for the intelligent to go John Galt. Leave them the power plants, the water plant, and sewage systems. Let’s see if these fools can run them without our help.

Separate sharia law is written right into the new Kenyan constitution and Kenya will fall to warfare because of it.

Actually they’re doomed even without sharia because their constitution is 85% rights of government and 15% rights of the people.

The United States has one system of law, based on the Constitution. No other system of law, foreign or religious is valid under the US Constitution and American jurisprudence.
Best to stop this now, before we lose our Constitution and the God given rights it protects.

Opposing Sharia is standing up for the Constitution and specifically the Bill of Rights. Islam is not a religion, it’s a political militant cult. It not compatible in America and since it is not a religion should not be protected.

Leave them the power plants, the water plant, and sewage systems. Let's see if these fools can run them without our help.

Ah, the issue of how to reverse the long term effects of liberalism when (if) sanity returns to D.C. and a conservative government dismantles and defunds the vast array of the Welfare Mentality Complex in the federal government.

In the past I have discussed the option of letting the wankers have exactly their way. In the specific instances of large urban metropolitan areas that are strongly pro-socialist (union), those areas typically have little manufacturing or other productive activity left anyway, their demise would be a minimal loss. Anyone with a dimes worth of common sense should exit and those in areas that do produce can help the escapees with finding work / necessaries until they can adapt/acclimate to the new location.

Then pack all local "government" positions in those large urban metropolitan areas that are strongly pro-socialist (union) with 100% affirmative action slugs and all other positions with ignorant and thuggish illegals.

Initially they will dance in the streets as they will all have huge salaries and golden lifetime benefits without possessing any skills to justify them or producing anything of value. They are now "entitled." Whoo-hoo!

Time passes (not much) and the shiny wears off as the reality of greed, thuggery, hard winters and brutal summers takes their toll while all sources of money dry up. Paychecks turn into furloughs which in turn become I.O.U.s which become thin plywood over the doors and windows. Leaving for productive areas will not be an option as government in THOSE areas is staffed with and based upon ability and performance, not bull$&it and rainbow speeches.

I.E., zero welfare "programs."

Then, for non-payment, even basic food and services will not be delivered into those "rainbow" areas. No truckers will go there as they are too dangerous and there are no loads going in anyway, nobody will sell goods for worthless I.O.U.s

Without parts and materials local water treatment facilities fail. Without a tax base electric power will not be ported into such areas.

No food, no water, no power?

The remaining welfare leach population in those "rainbow" areas living on the backs of the productive working American taxpayer will "dissipate."

.
