Prominent Ron Paul website promotes Farrakhan anti-Jewish speech

Judging by the comments for the post, it would seem that a nexus of support for Ron Paul and Louis Farrakhan has coalesced around conspiracy theories concerning Jewish political power and banks. Among other artifacts of extremism found in the discussion attached to the post is a link to an article in the Nation of Islam's official newspaper, The Final Call, spinning a conspiracy theory blaming the popular uprising against Qaddafi not on an expression of Arab Spring revolutionary spirit, but (predictably) on a conspiracy of bankers upset about Qaddafi's monetary policies. (Read here.) The Final Call article fails to mention the Qaddafi regime's long history of violently suppressing political opposition -- suppression which rose to unprecedented levels of brutality in response to demonstrations in support of liberalizing Libya's political system. Rather than citing revulsion at Qaddafi's massacre of peaceful Arab Spring demonstrators as the cause of the NATO intervention, the Final Call quotes Farrakhan as saying:
I know why you are angry with him; because he never agreed with your policies when it came to sucking the resources of Third World peoples, and putting in place dictators that would be amenable to America's policies.
It has long been known that some Ron Paul supporters share with Farrakhan a strong opposition to the central banking system, support for isolationist foreign policy, and a conspiratorial view of Israel and Jews which verges on paranoia. Now we can add support for Muammar Qaddafi to that list. Makes sense.
Below is the string of comments submitted by the Daily Paul forum members in response to the Farrakhan videos. It is interesting to see them working out how to talk about these issues without sounding bigoted -- that whole "we're opposed to Zionists, not Jews" thing. Only they get it a bit wrong. One commenter seems to think the founder of Goldman Sachs is still alive as he argues that Goldman Sachs ins't bad because it's Jewish. "I don't consider Goldman a Jew I see him as being of Israeli descent big difference." Another argues that his support for Naturei Karta shows that he can't be an anti-Semite.
The main point of Farrakhan's speech, that international bankers and Zionists work together to control the world and punish those who resist that control, and that the Libya conflict results from that conspiracy, meets with broad approval among at least this group of Paul supporters. I wonder what Ron Paul would say about it?

Populist Huey Long, perhaps ? Granted, their platforms are completely different, but the populist theme is there.
My big fear is isn’t RuPaul winning the Republican nomination. My big fear is the arrogant and lazy media tying RuPaul and his gang to the Conservative Movement during the 2012 Demolition Derby.
I wish the other candidates would start attacking him already. Then they can go after Myth Romney and Jon Huntsman(Who ?)

Ron Paul doesn’t run Daily Paul. His campaign doesn’t operate Daily Paul. But Daily Paul has been around 4 years or so, and it’s considered a grassroots Ron Paul website, about Ron Paul, considered pro Ron Paul. Ron Paul and the official campaign have no control over the content.

Ron Paul: think Ross Perot.
A third party spoiler whose sole aim is to derail the Republican candidate.
1988: Dukakis loses with 44 percent to GHWB.
1992: Clinton wins with 43 percent over GHWB.
Bottom line. Throw in fanatical sign-ripping minions for even more similarities.

Not according to the disclaimer on the bottom.
To be fair to RuPaul, he may not even know it exists.
But there’s a good chance his svengali, Lew Rockwell, knows all about it.
(Lew Rockwell was Ru’s chief of staff until 1982, I believe.)

I went looking for that article on the Daily Paul and it isn't there.
So whether this is a photoshop job to begin with, or whether it's been taken down is anyone's guess.

My concern is that the media will egg him to running as a third party candidate in the hopes that it will get Obama reelected. It will probably work.

Looks like it has been edited since this article was written but still mostly intact. (the URL still shows the title in this article even though it has been modified at Daily Paul)You're right. It's been changed -- by someone with a brain.

Freneau: Proud as you are of Ron Paul, are you proud to associate with the publishers of the Daily Paul or are you disturbed by their anti-semitism? You would not confuse this Paulistinian effort with the ideas of George Washington or Thomas Jefferson, would you? Do you have a problem with the fact that Israel is an American ally? Your boy is going down big time. Will the Galveston pipsqueak actually investigate the Federal Reserve while he still holds pubnlic office and the committee position to do so or is that another fraud by paleoPaulie to gull the suckers?
mnehring: Thanks for another worthy contribution to reveal the nature of the Paulistinian movement.

>>>Proud as you are of Ron Paul, are you proud to associate with the publishers of the Daily Paul or are you disturbed by their anti-semitism? <<<
I don’t know either way. I just visited the site for the first time, arbitrarily chose one of the linked articles, read half a dozen comments, or so, and nothing anti-semitic. But I did read this comment:
“Maybe someone should let him know that as of 2007, there are more black babies aborted than are born in New York. What is more racist than taking the life of an unborn black child before it has even taken it’s first breath?”
What is your point. Ron Paul has no control over this web site?
>>>You would not confuse this Paulistinian effort with the ideas of George Washington or Thomas Jefferson, would you?<<<
I think he admires them, and uses their letters and speeches as a guide to his interpretation of the constitution. That is quite noble, in my opinion.
In the future, please use “Paul” or “Ron Paul”. Your rant is hard enough to understand without the extra burden of all these ridiculous “nicknames” you have for Paul.
>>>Do you have a problem with the fact that Israel is an American ally?<<<
Absolutely not. I do have a problem with a Palestinian state, you know, the one both Obama and Bush pushed for? I really like Ron Paul’s position on Israel, which is [paraphrased]: “Israel is rich, and they have hundreds of nukes. They can take care of themselves.”
>>>Your boy is going down big time.<<<
Then the country will not be far behind. Ideologues like you don’t know how to elect anyone but a RINO. This nation cannot take another four years of Obama or Obama-lite.
>>>Will the Galveston pipsqueak actually investigate the Federal Reserve while he still holds pubnlic office and the committee position to do so or is that another fraud by paleoPaulie to gull the suckers?<<<
As much as the law allows. I believe the Federal Reserve Act was written in such a way that, unless it is repealed or amended, the Fed cannot even be audited. Correct me if I am wrong.
>>>Thanks for another worthy contribution to reveal the nature of the Paulistinian movement.<<<
Thanks for wasting my time.
